I’m definatly going to break the inj up into a couple times a week. I’ll have to read back over. I left a message for the doc to call me. I’m sure they are gettin pissed but F’um… I will get the cortisol test results… she said my liver is fine, thyroid is fine, kidneys etc…
So HOPEFULLY if cortisol was the problem, they would have tested for it.
Should I take any supplements with this stuff? I use gnc sport multi-jak3d-protein and a couple other n/o’s. here and there… should i stop any? Add any??
anyone that knows anything about modern day supplements knows what im talking about. Why they would put a 24 yr old on trt is beyond me. Shouldn’t he start with natural supplements first. and people wonder why i never go to a dr.
Not to get too off topic from the OP, but I played the supplement game for a long time too and while I saw some slight improvement, and have no doubt it benefited my overall health, they really just didn’t do much for my Low T and associated symptoms.

well, not sure what supplements you tried. but things may have improved greatly since you last tried them.
What supplements are you referring to specificaly?
I’ve loaded up on Vit D for overall health, B12 for neurotrasmitters, ioddoral for thyroid, Zinc/Magnesium for test/estrogen, and of course a multi. Obviously not an exhaustive list, but good for overall health.
Are you talking about things like Beta Alacalyne (sic) and ALA and Resveratrol?

Your TSH was at 2, this is potentially a problem. Your doc will probably see it “in range” and assume it’s fine, but the lab ranges for TSH are utter bullcrap. They are based on statistical averages and NOT what is healthy or optimal. TSH of ~ 1 is optimal for most.
The fact they didn’t even test cortisol (and have you on a retarded injection protocol) speaks volumes about the (lack of) knowledge of your doc, good thing you are seeking info on your own.
Simply put, your body needs a healthy adrenal system to support the demands that thyroid/testosterone put on your body. Once adrenals are worked out, then you can properly assess thyroid function… if thyroid needs fixing, THEN you fix that, and if you still have crappy T levels you can move to TRT. If you have a poorly functioning thyroid or adrenal system, your body will not be able to handle exogenous T and you will not feel any better. The proper order of hormone repair is adrenal->thyroid->test.
8am cortisol, TSH, Free T3, Free T4 are where I would start (along with Total T and free T… E2/DHEA-S couldn’t hurt either but I’m not sure they’re needed yet).
Spoke with the doctor today for about 30 minutes. Basically demanding tests and being shot down at first. I get to have my 8am cortisol, free t3-t4 and totals, she said my thyroid was in range and “fine” that i was over reacting… blah blah blaaaaah. Anyway, I at least get to have some more testing. They kept me on the 200mg biweekly, i’m taking it weekly 100mg’s. should i expect any changes? any energy? better way to take the injection? I have 100 syringes and needles.
Anyone have any ideas here? The last two shots have made me sore at the site, but it’s not intolerable. Should I change my diet or workout and try to get some type of gains??
Split the shots into twice a week if you can… the closer together, the better. Especially if you find that your mood/libido/energy fluctuates throughout the week and starts to suck after several days.

That caught my attention, is it possible your doc might be getting kickbacks for prescribing these meds? I would be very hesitant to take meds, let alone for LIFE!
How do YOU feel, do you need the medications or are you fine without them?
Completely off topic, apologies:
Dude, where have you disappeared to? Miss hearin how the bbuilding journey is goin.
