New format is unreadable

I don’t much like change, but I am growing accustomed more as time goes on.
Currently I prefer the format as it was. I don’t see what advantages the new format has, other than showing me some pics that take up space, requiring me to scroll down more. I am more annoyed by “ads” than respond to them. Tell me some details of why I want something and I will “look you up.”

I don’t see the logic here. Don’t those taking PED’s make the best targeted audience. They are willing to risk their life. Don’t you believe that they take supplements to guard their life and improve their body composition? I called it the “shotgun approach.” I did everything to improve my chances on stage.

If not on T-Nation, then where?

@RT_Nomad The logic is obvious for a business, dont target a minority segment of your potential market by association with something that is banned in most sports.

I dont do shotgun aproaches, I do targeted.

if not on T Nation, then so what. It can exist where reputational associations are less critical.

T-Nation itself publishes articles about pharma and TRT so why should we not have a forum to discuss?

So, the others don’t count?
What sports are you competing in?

And what if there isn’t a targeted approach that is definitely the answer? You do nothing?

@s.gentz I differentiate between medical interventions/injuries and PEDS. I am suggesting to T Nation they ditch anything related to PEDs for their own good. There is a reason why most sites do not discuss PEDs.
This is not advice to individuals here.

@RT_Nomad When I say banned in most sports I mean the vast majority where it can have a significant impact on performance.
I have always competed in athletics, at various times in tennis, squash, cricket. All have some form of PED rules.
Every sport has a targeted approach, train hard, train smart, read, use good coaching, eat good food, good supplements. If you lack the genetic talent its tough, being pretty good at something is enough for most people. If its not, find another life endeavour you can excel at.

Agreed. Horrible format. Makes me not want to use it.

These are both your opinions. While they are valid in your eyes the vast majority on this site participate for their own reasons just like you do for yours. Why should you take the right of discussion on these topics away from them when the site itself promotes them?

Disclaimer-I am in no way trying to say anything negative about your opinions or views. They are your and I respect them.

When does TRT become PED? Do you make that distinction?

I don’t know, but I have competed in three different sports and used PED’s in all three.

  • Rugby Union (USA in the early 1970’s)
  • Powerlifting in the 1970’s
  • Bodybuilding in the 1970’s thru the 1990’s

Probably no one I competed against in rugby took PED’s, but me. No one told me they were outlawed.
It was understood that PED’s were not allowed in powerlifting and bodybuilding, but not like anyone cared. And if a competitor wanted an advantage, PED’s were a good first choice. And not like I was the only one using them.

I lacked the genetic talent to accomplish what I did in bodybuilding. Being pretty good was not a reasonable satisfaction for me. I was competing to win. So I took PED’s.

That said, I appreciate your opinion, it just isn’t mine, or I would be a hypocrite. That is not who I am. Call me a cheater, just not a hypocrite. When accused of cheating because I used PED’s, I would say, “If you don’t cheat, don’t compete.”

You understand “T” stands for testosterone and this site has very prolifically been supportive of anabolics since its inception though, right? Sometimes we find out we have wandered in to the wrong neighborhood, but it’s not necessarily the neighborhood that needs to adjust or move.

So lets get to the heart of my question from the interested party.
@Chris_Shugart Is this site supportive of anabolics as just claimed on your behalf ? What is your take on my view that (indirect) association with PEDs is not ideal for a supplement company.

There are particular nuances to it.

Like no source sharing, not just a cover for a source, things of that nature.

Operation Raw Deal kinda signified a pivot point in the way business was being done and many sites purpose.

The new format won’t keep me from my own log, so there’s that. But it does make it less likely that I’ll browse other folks log’s, which was much easier in the previous format. The “forums” probably will be more of just a journal for me.

All top BB sites have PED talk. What is the issue? There are no sales or talk of sourcing and you have to be logged in to view/participate.

As for the format.

Can you all at least remove the “preview” of the thread on the feed? I do not really want to have some of those bodies pop up on my screen.

It also looks cluttered.

Yeah this new layout is bad. Sorry I am really trying to be open minded but I can’t see one positive benefit of this new styling. It’s also very telling (in a bad way) that Mod Phoenix or others haven’t addressed or responded here yet.
