Guy, Conan is described as having dark skin. Why is his race that much of an issue with that in mind? I could see if this was someone as dark as Wesley Snipes, but where is all of this concern when characters are constantly portrayed by white characters in Hollywood when the source material is anything but?

To my memory, Conan is described as being darkly tanned. Which is to be expected when you run around in loincloth under a harsh sun.
Anyway, if memory serves, Cimmerians are based on a teuton-celt people, so I can see how race could be somewhat of an issue. This is beside the point however, that dude just isn’t damn big enough to play Conan. Maybe if they get a trainer who sticks him on Dogcrapp and 10 daily servings of lion meat and Anaconda for a year. Maybe.

a) Strategy

c) Morale
d) Discipline
e) Stamina/endurance
Do you actually think that it would be in any way practicle to expect your whole fighting force attempt to get as jacked as Arnold? Stop with the strawmen - no one suggested Abercrombie would be the man for the job in a war. Good strength, sure. Conan strength? Fuck off. It’d serve a soldier better to divide 4 hours of his time between shooting and strength training than it would be to train strength alone just to get BRUTALLY strong.
I was simply saying the need for “jacked” soldiers is diminishing continually and far more important is the need for decent strength, good stamina, and good mental resolve as well as the ability to take off someone’s head with a gun from 200 yards. This is in fact evident in the soldiers we see today. No, they don’t look like spidey, and no, they don’t look like Arnold. There’s a fucking reason for that. Neither are optimum/practical.

Weaponless combat? Are you living in a street fighter movie? As far as I’m aware, none of the IED’s that are fucking our soldiers up are put there by jacked beasts. No need. Weaponless combat is rare in comparison to say, helicopter gunships, missiles, snipers and other guns as well as grenades and whatnot.
And no, I’m not denying that strength is important. In many cases it is, even in today’s warfare. But I think we’re all starting to pitch ourselves in opposing camps.
Let us just agree that the stronger soldier is the better soldier, but in the grand scheme of things not everyone is going to be a 250lb beast, and because of this fact, other factors which can be manipulated more easily (ie shooting skill and teamwork) are dominant factors in deciding who wins and who loses.
Not to mention brains.

It is hard, but most times very much worth the effort.
You have an advantage and a disadvantage in that you make descent money and have a promising career. You have to watch for someone just clasping on to you for the security and quality of life, but are blessed that once the two of you make a comfortable wage, many common problems go away.
