New Business Failures

Well, I pretty much do. There’s just no way to reasonably limit the intervention, because “reasonable” is in the eye of the beholder.

Let the market dictate the winners and losers. Government involvement is why we have super large corporations that control not only their own interest, but are part of comglomerates that have entire markets covered globally their scope of reach never ends. They dictate how governments respond to situations. Look no farther than places like India, Central America, and other “emerging” markets to see how much power these big boy companies hold sway over government. In more socialist countries there are complete meltdowns over the control by government.

But every modern economy is a mixed economy. I’m with you guys in principle, though. Of course, you can also make the argument that pure communism has never been fully adopted. The problem we’re talking about here is when the country swings too far to the left.

Um, ya. Capitalism is fucking amazing.

This is you:

Of course. That doesn’t mean some of us don’t object to it.

You certainly can make that argument regarding communism. The difference? Each tiny step in the direction of “pure communism” results in less freedom and worse conditions. Each tiny step in the direction of pure capitalism results in more freedom and better conditions.

I know that you’re not arguing in favor of communism, but their argument regarding the above is terrible.

Please explain what the “current capitalistic system” means. Also, what do you mean by the “modern business model”?

Those are two very vague phrases that need to be further unpacked. I have a suspicion you don’t really know what I espouse, but to go further you’ll have to tell me what you mean by both of those phrases in detail (I wait with baited breath)

How about when they bribe politicians?

And is currently putting THIS country’s middle class into poverty. It is happening right now.

The only way jobs are provided is if enough product or service is being sold and you need the help. So please stop the over-inflating of yourself.

We live in a country where people die because they don’t have healthcare. We live in a country that let’s the public suffer so that Big Pharma can make more money. We live in a country where people can put their lives in jeopardy only to return to that country and become homeless. Is this the morals you espouse?

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

Capitalism may be an economic model explicitly but it has been made an ideological model as it is impervious to truth and evidence.

This is the reason why they bribe politicians. They can’t have another company or entity threaten their bottom line. It is why Pharma lobbied against cannabis. They didn’t want the competition. Because they can’t compete. Meanwhile the winners would be the public and Pharma would lose some profit and power. Doesn’t your heart go out to these scumbags?

Too bad it’s creating a disappearing middle class in America. A practice you champion.

Like the disappearing middle class? Where every corporation searches for cheaper labor and then ships the jobs overseas destroying the lives of thousands of Americans. Something to be proud of? While the top management and shareholders make more money. Even though they have enough. It is never enough, so if they have to play a heavy part in gutting the lives of Americans, in order to make more money. Then so be it.

Don’t lie. I have not over-inflated myself.

I am simply comparing the value I add to the world to someone who uses “words”.

Liar.

Millions of starving and dead children and infants.

These are your morals.

Remember that.

You still want to play this game with me?

I outright refused to go into espousing an ideaology. Which is why I said I have no objection to a mixed economy with minimal givernment intervention. Which means I am taking a realist view of the world and what has been applied historically.

If you wish to go into pure idealogy, let’s see what you support where causation has been proven:

120 million deaths.

A lot more where causation cannot be proven but reasonable people will be able to see the causal link.

Millions still suffering in 3rd world conditions under oppressive regimes like North Korea.

Venezuela.

Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao, Chavez, Castro

Good job, Zep.

A system that seeks to make more and more money at any expense. A system that ships jobs overseas to increase the bottom line at any cost.

Why are you pretending to care about them?

You don’t care about business owners. You hate the successful ones and call them evil.

I listed a number of real problems startups may face. They went over your head. You didn’t even bother discussing them.

But you pretended to care by starting this thread.

Why are you still lying?

You just want to rile people up to get them on your side. Then you will turn on them when your objectives have been met.

Mao did this very well. Learning from the best, eh?

Liar.

He is saying government involvement in the free market is what allows this to happen.

Same.

Which what I am also against.

You are the ONLY nitwit in this thread who has been arguing for it.

Your retort to this will be:

“So corporations who bribe politicians should be let off the hook?”

The reply in it’s simplest form will be, just like it has always been:

“No, don’t let them have a chance to in the first place by getting rid of government involvement in the free market.”

But you won’t accept this because you want to bring the wealthy down, not prevent their abuse of power.

Because you don’t give a fuck. Because your objective isn’t to prevent all this shit from happening or looking out for the middle class or startup businesses or everything you claim to be doing.

You want to bring those above you down and you don’t care who else you bring down with you.

You are the lowest of scum using the guise of morality to hide your real intentions. A true commie.

Ah. You believe “United States” is synonymous with “capitalism.” Jobs go overseas because capitalism isn’t allowed over here when it comes to employment.
