New Batman Movie...

excuse my error superpimp I was going on the cartoon version of bane, not the comic. I hate when they keep changing the origins of characters in each incaration of batman.

oh yea and Xen right on most people don’t know that.

I’m not most people

disappears in a cloud of smoke

Other than Ras Al Ghul, Joker is Batman’s greatest opponent. There is one other character who could do it but he’s so obscure no one’ would know who i’m talking about. He’s not even included in the “Ultimate Guide to Batman”. I have a friend who helped to edit that and said they took it out because the references were too obscure. lol

Okay, Xen, out with it. Who’s the obscure character?

at one point alfred says “whats the point of doing all those pushups if cant lift a log” or similar. sort of sums up alot of people who lift weights doesn’t it

I think Michael Clarke Duncan should play the Joker. He could pick up Batman by the throat screaming “Why aren’t you laughing now, Bitch!”.

Yeh. A giant, black, roid-raging Joker. That would shake hollywood up…
Ewww. They tried that already, remember Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin in Daredevil? Blech. Duncan doesn’t have the chops to be a truly evil character.

No, it wouldn’t. Screw the old. They screwed up a franchise. It took real work to get it back on track.
You didn’t like the Burton’s first Batman movie with Keaton as Batman and Nicholson as the Joker?!?

I saw it last night. It was awesome. Definitely impressed and hope they can make a sequel that is just as good. I liked this far better than all the other Batman movies combined!

HA. That’s the best line in the film. I was the only one in the movie theater to laugh out loud when he said that. So much for “functional training”.

MCD’s Kingpin wasn’t the problem with Daredevil, it was the highlight. I WILL play the race card on anyone who tries to say that that movie sucked ass for any reason other than the lack of talent of the “new Bennifer”. :stuck_out_tongue:

No what sucked about the film was the fact that the directors cut wasn’t the released film.
The directors cut is more dark with Duncan showing in the first 10minutes of the film why the Kingpin is a badass by killing both his body gaurds with his bare hands and then wiping them off witha silk hanky and smiling, also Coolio is in it in a new plotline and there is more action with Afflec driving an S500 Mercedes. It’s a good rent if anyone gets a chance

I hope no one tries to defend “Daredevil.” That was the worst movie that I have ever seen…(although the new Bewitched is close).

The Daredevil had a bad script, bad acting, bad lighting, bad casting and bad camera work. Worst of all it had Ben asspick in it…

Saw Batman last night and thought it was outstanding (except for a few minor problems). However, the first Spiderman was even better!

Don’t know if this is accurate, but it is interesting:

That does actually look pretty cool…however, it is a photo shoped picture from the old movie “The man who laughs” about a man who was tortured and the forced his lips into a permanant grin.
And it is also the basis for the joker character I hear.

Like I said give the directors cut a chance it’s like a whole nw film, he doesn’t wind up with Elektra after the rain shower it’s actually pretty cool.

On a side note the only 2 films I’ve ever seen Afflec in was this and Boiler Room, so I’m not as jaded as many people as far as his carrer is concerned

Affleck’s no Sean Connery, but the Affleck-Damon machine was working pretty well in Dogma.
