Because rappers are more mainstream than underground internet sites like 4chan and the other places that these phrases rise from.
Although now that I think about it, maybe Rap borrows from 4chan a lot… the obsession with the N-word, being complete overbearing jackasses, their love of cat pictures with humorous captions…
