Increased DHT is related to hair loss. Increasing DHT (which is a derivitive of testosterone) causes an increase in Estrogen. Its all interconnected but hard to say exactly whats causing your hair loss
Itās the other way around, DHT has anti-estrogenic effects.
Yes, more correctly stated:
- more testosterone causes more DHT
- DHT causes hair loss
- more testosterone also typically causes more estrogen
- so, elevated estrogen can be an indirect indicator of elevated DHT, which causes hair loss BUT DHT doesnt CAUSE higher estrogen since:
- DHT is actually anti-estrogenic
Again, its all interconnected. This is why it is so important to monitor levels
