lol wut?

They went to the Finals a few years ago.

Did you hear how he set a record in FT attempts last night. 39 FTA but only 21 made. Brutal

A team that was starting 32yr old RAFER ALSTON at point guard.

You’re right, my bad. Lakers smoked 'em. Point remains Howard’s overrated. I could care less about help side defense. He’s an offensive liability and will kill you down the stretch 'cause he can’t get his own shot and is less than unreliable at the line.

This all applicable to Shaq and he’s one of the greatest 50 players of all time.

That’s fucking ridiculous. No one player should shoot 40 freethrows in a game. The superstar favoritism in today’s game is out of control.

You’re out of your mind. Shaq had good footwork, a decent little jump hook and was more mobile than Howard. Howard is the definition of “mechanical”.

You can’t really give Shaq the ball on the last play of the game. So in that sense he’s an offensive liability down the stretch. That’s really what I meant.

I agree he was much more talented offensively than Dwight has been to this point. Still he’s averaged 20+ points 4 out of the last 5 seasons.

Remember that time the Lakers went 34-48 and missed the playoffs the year after Shaq left? I do.

Stirring the pot, always fun times.

GS was trying to hack-a-Dwight, it wasn’t superstar favoritism

Listen to Kenny talk about Kobe and Lebron. Kobe goes 2-8 in overtime and he’s the fucking man, Black Mamba is back baby! Lebron does the same thing, but the Heat lose and Lebron is unclutch, choker etc.

People see what they want to see.

^This. It was intentional.

And now I get to throw a WF phrase back at him… “DO YOU EVER WATCH THE GAMES OR JUST LOOK AT THE STATS?!!”

Sorry, but 40 fucking freethrows in a game is more than “hack-a-Dwight”. That would mean that literally every time he touched the ball they’d hammer him.

Jesus dude, do you watch ball or just regurgitate what you hear? Bryant has made a career of being clutch. James OS becoming known for disappearing when it matters most. Also, to address your earlier post, Bryant now has 37,39,40 & 48 point games on the year, and has only scored less than 26 twice in two admittedly shitty back-to-backs against Denver. He hasn’t just had “one good game”. Guess people do see what they want to see.

^^ You’re really asking me if I watch the games? SCJ just called you out 3 posts ago.

First of all, scoring isn’t the be all, end all measure of a good game. The 40 pt game was where he went 2-8 in overtime. Second, his scoring is naturally going to be up this season. They lost Odom’s 14 points and suddenly Bynum is playing like an all-star, drawing double teams and giving Kobe open looks.

I think you’re way too sensitive about Kobe. Nobody has ever said he’s a bad player, we all know he’s an elite NBA player, top 10 GOAT, etc etc. The point was once a guy is labeled clutch, he’s clutch no matter how he plays. Once a guy is labeled a choker, he’s a choker no matter how he plays. Lebron is putting up absolutely gaudy numbers this season (way better than Kobe’s), but people are still shitting on him because of perceived choking late in games. Kobe isn’t playing any better late in games, but he’s still getting praised because he’s been labeled clutch throughout his career.

Ha! Joakim Noah endorses NO Xplode

Love how ESPN comes to his house for an interview and he doesn’t bother to put anything on but a beater and shorts

Dude, he was poking fun 'cause he doesn’t watch games and I do. The point is someone gets labeled “clutch” because they are. They get labeled “choker” because they choke. If James started being clutch no one would call him a choker, but don’t hold your breath. And, Bynum’s emergence has to do with Bryant drawing doubles and triples and getting him easy shots, not the other way around. Also, Bryant is healthier than he’s been in at least 3 years, and he’s still doing this with torn wrist ligaments in his shooting hand. Also, Bryant’s averaging 6 boards, 5 assists and 2 steals a game. How is that just scoring?

And Lebron averages more points, more assists and more rebounds. The argument here is whether or not Kobe is a top 5 player.

Is he the reigning MVP who led his team to the best record in the NBA like Rose? No.
Is he the reigning scoring champ who led his team to the WCF like Durant? No.
Is the the best defender in the NBA like Dwight? No.
Did he lead his team to an NBA Championship and win Finals MVP like Dirk? No.

The only claim Kobe has over any of these guys is some mysterious intangible “clutch” ability which he HAS NOT displayed so far, either in last years playoffs or this season.

I’ll say it again, nobody is saying he’s a bad player. He’s great, top 10 easily, he’s just not the best anymore.
