James fouling out was definitely unexpected, but well deserved. He gets at least 5 offensive fouls a game where the refs swallow their whistles. Indiana is 100% getting the shit end of Sterns wrath. After that shot clock violation where Hibberts’ shot CLEARLY hit the rim, I figured they were just gonna hand it to Miami. Was listening to the end of the game on the radio and Hubie Brown kept pointing out the blown calls that helped Miami creep back in.
I dont undertand how people are acting like this is what lost Miami the game?
Officiating was horrible last night all around, NOT just in the Pacer’s favor. If that wasnt such a huge game no one would be crying about the 6th foul anyway.
And honestly, i would argue that the Pacers were out-working Miami for most of the game anyway. Yeah having Lebron in the last couple minutes could have yielded a different outcome but its far from a guarantee and the Pacers were up anyway.

That shot clock violation was weird. How can 3 refs and the shot clock operator make the same same mistake? It wasn’t even close.
Miami has had one good game out of 4. I am not liking the way D-Wade is playing either. Dude is getting out played by Lance fuckin’ Stephenson. With Hibbert out playing Bosh, the Heat’s big 3 are getting out played 2-1 with Lebron the only one playing better than his guy (George or West at times).

I agree. I think you had to know that Bosh was gonna be more or less nullified against the Pacers, but Wade is just not earning his paycheck at all. He better hope for another ring in the next year or so or Miami’s gonna have to find another part for their big 3, i dont know how much more he has left in the tank at this level of competition.

Yeah, that was pretty clearly Stern’s handiwork. Indy should be up 3-1 right now. That first game was a handout.
Lance Stephenson is impressing the hell outta me, specifically with his confidence and handle. He’s out there playing in the biggest games of his career and is doing it completely fearlessly, and despite the fact that he’s not real athletic, he can get to the rim at will. He’s kinda like Tyreke Evans, just more under control and handles contact better.

I just assuming they all read the same memo from the league office which read.
Dear officiating staff
We understand and fully admit to the mistake of disallowing CP3 to play for the lakers this year. Be that as it may, the western conference has become a lost division to us and we need your help to save the season. We ask that you do what you can, when you can to help insure that the finals have the highest ratings possible and to encourage the heat to victory. We hope that your interpretation of encourage is the same as ours…

the scummy midget troll commissioner stern
Lance stevenson is really hurting the pacers imho. He plays hero ball and thinks he’s Kobe

Lol at scummy midget troll commissioner Stern.
Im on the fence with Lance, i think theres a lot of potential there and he can create shots, but i agree he needs to reel it in a good deal.
I hope the Heat get knocked out before even making the finals and it causes Stern to have a stroke and makes him unfit to continue being commissioner.
It would kill two birds that i very much dislike with one stone. I dont want to have to bear another year of Stern as commissioner.
On the plus side, regardless what happens this year, i dont think theres anyway in hell Miami wins a ring next year.

Had Memphis not traded away Rudy Gay, Griz would have won those two OT games. MAYBE won the series.
Say what you want about Gay, but he can create his own shot which is exactly what Mem needed.[/quote]
What are you talking about? The Grizzlies wouldn’t even get to the Spurs if they still has Rudy Gay. They are undoubtedly better without him. All you have to do is look at their success this season (both regular and post season) and two years ago, when they beat the Spurs in the first round as an 8th seed with Gay on the bench.
Giving the guy who’s on your team some love is understandable. But let’s not pretend he’s going to turn around Toronto basketball. He’s one step in a multi-period step plan for them to become competitive.
Y’all gotta understand that Stephenson trying to “get his” is by design. They weren’t getting a lot of wing production, so Vogel was giving him iso’s. Again, he’s not real athletic, but he’s got a killer handle and can finish through contact at the rim. On a night when Paul George is in constant foul trouble and can’t get going, they need that. I’m betting (HOPING) they don’t need that next game.

No need for him to have a stroke, this is final year as commish I believe. I don’t know how much different the “regime” will be seeing as the VP, who is really close with Stern, is talking over. I think it’s that skinny bald dude with the glasses.

I believe august 2014 is his retirement?
Just checked, February 2014. So i suppose a stroke isnt necessary…but God, if you’re reading this and you already started working on it, nobody likes a quitter…
I’m really hoping for another barn burner tonight.
Game 1 and 3 were wildly entertaining, I hope tonight is the same way.
I would love to see Indy win tonight, Miami to win game 6 and set up a game 7

I’d rather see Pacers end this in the next two for the sake of my own mood.
These playoffs have not been kind to me.
I’m predicting incredibly lopsided officiating and a Miami W. I really hope I’m wrong.

That makes 2 of us.
I’ve been as optimistic as anyone that my $40* might could turn into $400, but jeez if MIA dont even need D Wade out there…
*IND to win eastern conference

Cmon now WF, Stephenson pretty darn athletic.
Of course he’s no Gerald Green out there, but who is.
I’m at the bar right now and there’s a guy wearing a Lakers Brian Grant jersey.
I lol’d

Guess it depends on your definition of athletic. From a speed and hops standpoint, he most certainly is not. But, he’s got good body control both in the air and with the ball, damn good change of direction and he’s pretty strong. He’s never going to blow by somebody or explode over them, but he’ll shake by and finish through them.
Also, the officiating tonight was atrocious.
