NBA 2012 - 2013

I said directly after the trade that moving Harden would cost 'em. Obviously losing Westbrook was huge, but I’m not sure they could/would’ve beat the Griz with him, though it would’ve certainly been more competitive. Also, if Stern allows 'em to play ball instead of just ushering Miami to the Finals, Indiana will beat 'em. There’s absolutely ZERO chance of that happening though.[/quote]

Im thinking the same thing. Indiana has all the elements the Bulls have that Miami hates, wrapped up in an overall better team (this season at least)

The way theyve handled the second best team in the East this series has definitely been more impressive than the way the Heat handled the Bulls too. But i dont know if they have the offensive output to overcome the terrible officiating we are pretty much guaranteed to see though.

It honestly is so hard for me to watch these games knowing that any team playing miami in the post-season is coming in with a handicap. Just one of the many reasons this team could never rival Jordan’s Bulls.

With either SA or Memphis going to the Finals, Stern needs either NY or Miami to make it. He absolutely will not have a SA/Memphis vs Indiana Finals.

I’m still hoping my Warriors can take SA to a game 7. But too many ankle injuries!

I heard a couple of “experts” on ESPN saying that the Heat match up better against the Pacers than the Knicks. I forgot their reasoning, so there ya go, haha.

Knicks managed to pull extend the series tonight. Extremely doubtful that they’ll be able to win 2 more. I figured they werent gonna let themselves be knocked out in 5 anyway.

Even with the league office’s blessing, MIA has a tough road ahead. Even if Wade isn’t as banged-up as it seems.

IND has the length, 3-pt defense, and legit frontcourt to be tough matchup for anyone.

And MEM’s perimeter length (ie. Allen and Prince) and overall halfcourt defense is downright scary.

No matter what happens in this Warriors series, Harrison Barnes is going to be a fucking STUD in the NBA.

I don’t think the Pacers will give the Heat much of a problem. The Knicks played some shitty basketball and were still a blocked dunk away from a game 7. JR Smith was horrible offensively in that series. Felton was 0-7 in the last game, Chandler under performed overall and they just straight up missed a bunch of 3’s that they normally make. I agree that Indiana has great 3 point defense but the Knicks got a ton of good looks that they just flat out missed. The Knicks played shitty defense in that game 6 as well. The Pacers had over 40 foul shots and 3 easy back doors that I could count.

They only way I see it being a tough series is if Miami goes into a slump on the 3’s AND Lebron plays like shit. I remember the Pacers giving the Heat a hard time last year but I recall Danny Grainger having some good games against them.

LOL Dwight running his mouth again, talking to Mitch Kupchak about his displeasure with Mike D’Antoni. Apparently he has a problem with D’Antoni looking to Kobe and Nash for leadership and ignoring his input. I can’t believe he can say something like that in a serious meeting with top management. Doesn’t he know how stupid that sounds. Dwight Howard and leadership in the same sentence?

The Lakers are a god damn mess, from top to bottom; executive management to the players themselves. Jim Buss, Jeanie Buss and Mitch Kupchak don’t know what the fuck they are doing. They need to go. Their incompetency is more proof of how Dr. Jerry Buss and Phil Jackson built the new millennia Lakers. And on the actual team front, Dwight Howard and the Laker’s failure this season are perfect evidence of how important quality coaching and on-court leadership is. Phil Jackson is absolutely right when he says Kobe is not a natural born leader; how he’s had to learn those skills on the job. As far as I’m concerned Kobe lost his way this past season and took a few steps back in that evolution. He needs someone else, whether it be a real coach or a team mate who knows how to lead (or at least co-lead).

Come on Memphis vs Indiana for the finals.
It would be a giant middle finger to Stern lol
Too bad there is no way that old geezer will let that happen.

lol
The Lakers failures this season were due to a combination of switching a head coach during the season and having every single prominent player on the roster miss time due to injuries!
List of players injured and missed time:
Kobe
Nash
World Peace
Gasol
Meeks
Hill
Blake
Not to mention Howard playing while his back recovered and then tearing his labrum.

The Lakers were a team with a new coach and a new group of guys who were injured constantly.
What did people really expect?
An aging team who is thrown together at the last minute that gets a new coach and system mid season who are going to contend for a ring?
Come on now.

Kevin Durant quietly donates 1 million dollars to help Oklahoma. Not for publicity or anything. He didnt even announce it, red cross was the first to.

As if i needed any more reason to root for him.

100% class act all the way.

Cavs need to trade that #1 pick.

Crazy finish to this Mia vs ind game.

Paul George blows it initially by throwing the ball out of bounds then hits a crazy 3. The door opened by a ray Allen missed free throw no less

Holy fuck what a finish

Good finish.

Undeniable clutch last night. A big coaching mistake IMO was taking Hibbert out on D with about a minute left allowing Lebron to easily take it to the hole.I can understand the reasoning on the last play of the game, but the one Lebron where scored before that was dumb. Hibbert is a big reason he wasn’t doing that all night.

I’m still not convinced Wade fouled George on that 3. There’s no way to 100 % tell from the only camera angle they showed. Either way, Indiana played some great D. But unlike the Knicks, Miami punishes them by dishing when they send Hibbert over. I’d like to see how the Pacers handle this. If they rotate another guy down, it opens up the 3 point line. The next game should be very interesting.
