Naomi Klein on Obama

Actually it should resonate with some of the more conservative people on this board.

This was basically an attack on Obama. She’s saying he has no plans and is in fact misleading many of his core supporters. He is at best naieve, at worst a fraud. Plenty of ammo there for those who want it.

Yes.

Moreover, there is an irony lost on Lifticus - socialism’s great failure is that is predicated on certain assumptions about humans that are false and too utopian…and they are the exact same assumptions Lifticus believes in.
But - aren’t you the guy who used to post in volumes on here about the greatness that is communism?

Kinda makes one wonder where exactly you fall on the intestinal fortitude scale.
His intellectual incoherence has become legendary in its embarrassment, but Lifticus most certainly is barely distinguishable from the radical left-wing statists he claims to deride - witness his “men are born free and is everywhere else in chains” (paraphrase).

Men are put in chains by other men and not born into them.

Precisely my point - and your Rousseau-ean philosophy is the same utopian shtick that drives the Left and their radical push toward paradise.

Not a shred of difference - and not a shred of sense.

What assumptions?
