The talent part seems totally covered, so I just wish your family luck in dealing with the whole showbusiness stuff.
I thought it went well. Huge response from people all over the world this morning. I’m not allowed to discuss whether she chose her own song or whether she had any say in how she performed it. Probably the wrong show for her, but it’s a start.

I saw this thread way back when it started, and thought your wife had an amazing voice. Last night I was watching BGT and thought she looked kind of familiar, when suddenly I remembered about this thread and considered the possibility that it was actually her- pretty cool that I turned out to be right!!
Sorry she didn’t make it through to the finals, but at least the show has given her talent some publicity, and I hope she can go on to have further opportunities.
I’m going to be absolutely honest with you. Your wife has a fabulous voice and a face to die for. Here’s the but. I agree with that lady judge. That was a terrible song for her voice AND her look.(though I can’t stand the shaved head) It is NOT a “showcase my voice” song at all. I would love to see her cover something like this:

[/quote]I hope you didn’t take anything I said as being critical of HER. Again, I agree with that judge. Her talents were not done justice to in a rather, in my opinion, boring old droning pop song. Whosoever decision it was. One guy was talking about how “safe” her performance was. Hers was the best performance of that song I’ve ever heard. She got out of it all there is to really get which ain’t much, which is the point. She is far better than she was allowed to show. All just my 2 cents.
