Thanks so much for the response. Do you agree my levels are low? More importantly how would you say my free t and shbg is? I will look into getting my estrogen tested as well.
Clomid seems to have the most side effects of the 3 and i will probably steer clear of that. I would consider starting hcg at first to try. I dont have sleep apnea and in fact am a super light sleeper that wakes up when a pin drops. So sleep is definitely an issue, i just got melatonin which seems like it is helping for a better sleep.
I believe the main killers of my test are sleep, stress and prolonged anxiety/ocd/depression which was left untreated for years until it got so bad i couldnt leave the house, hence when i started the ssri. I think all those years being that anxious totally zapped me.
My only hope of kick starting proper production again is that ive done it before like i listed above and got it to 544 by cutting out alcohol, losing weight and training hard. If i get back to a proper diet & training, ive already got rid of alcohol, got more restful sleep, managed my stress better, took some supplements and possibly starting hcg i could get it to above 600 without needing to get onto trt. If ive exhausted all avaneus and still feel like crap i will get on trt. What do you think?
You’re welcome,
You have a lot of known testosterone killers going on in your life. Most men I report feeling good when FT is at least 75 percent of the ranges or higher. I see men all the time scoring FT is the middle ranges and symptomatic, but these ranges are the normal ranges, not the healthy ranges.
Since stopping TRT 5 months ago, my sleep has suffered, after a week on daily dosing I’m sleeping like a baby. You more than likely will not do well on infrequent dosing, very frequent dosing is recommended, daily because the spikes is testosterone and estrogen can trigger anxiety is those that are prone to it.
Wow that sounds hectic daily dosing
It totally seems like something that would happen to me just reading that as i am pretty sensitive to certain levels in my body going up and down.
Is shbg better lower or higher?
Higher is best, more diseases associated with low SHBG. Daily dosing is a breeze, I don’t even feel the needle, only thing I feel is the test going into muscle.
Keep in mind once you get the hang of it it’s literally a 30 second shot with a very small needle. You aren’t going to be using the kinds of needles used at most doc offices. Think insulin needles, not “my arm is going to hurt for a week after that” size needles. Some people pre fill a weeks worth of syringes ahead of time then just inject real quick when it’s time. It’s quick and easy
There are also creams that you might could use that are strong enough now. 20% creams, NOT GEL!! Gel is about 2% and nowhere near strong enough for what most men need. They need to be applied twice daily but that’s what I’m on now and it’s starting to work great.
You just dont want to mess with your HPTA axis right now when trying to get your wife pregnant.
I highly recommend to test low levels of Clomid first before going the hCG or TRT route. 12.5 or max 25mg eod, try it for a couple of weeks and only if you dont feel good try hCG.
Clomid is easier to stop as it doesnt kill the HTP axis.
I agree clomid is a short to mid term solution. Until now up to 3 years were studied and demonstrated to be safe and efficaceous.
Were the 3 year studies at low doses I assume?
Mostly 25mg eod.
At 36 months, 75% remained on CC 25 mg every other day.
