My numbers and journey - TRT/SSRI use/addiction/sleep apnea

March 14

96.1 8:30 am

Update…Any thoughts on these numbers and protocol.

80 mg cyp 2x a week subq
HCG 250 EOD
1/2 grain dessicated thyroid (ordered 1/4 grain)

Please let me know your thoughts…I following the advice in the stickies and previous recommendations the best I can.

40mg test cyp EOD SQ
1/2 grain dessicated thyroid EOD
50mg Iodoral daily (I use selenium daily and 1/2 teaspoon sea salt with vitamin c if I have ā€œBromideā€ detox symptoms)
.50 Anastrozole 2x a week which I started today(the pills are in powder capsules and I will adjust dosage based on numbers/symptoms as I am worried about being an over responder)
Variety of other supplements/vitamins
7 weeks off of SSRI’s and any other psychiatric medication

I was trying Chrysin and even though I didnt get blood work to see if it is working…I have a feeling after much reading and research it wont lower my estradiol

Any advice or feedback?

I’m also getting trigger shy with the anastrozole. I think I’m going to do .25 2x a week. I do not want to crash my e2 in case I’m an over responder. Any issues with going too low on anastrozole?

Also, I have been doing 50 mg daily of Iodoral and still have a low waking temp of around 96.5.

Any updates?

I had the following tests done and met with the functional medicine doctor just recently (about 2 hours).

ALCAT food sensitivity test
Spectracell (Vitamin deficiencies, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants, etc.)
Spectracell-MTHR mutation(I have A1298C Mutation but not C677T mutation)
Gi Effects comprehensive stool profile (a plethora of abnormalities)
ZRT 4 vial cortisol test - Saliva (Morning cortisol is 4.7…3.7-9.5 and my night is a tad high)

I didnt move forward with the anastrozole. She and I are aware of the small if any success of Chrysin but we will let the numbers and how I feel determine where to go in 2-3 months. She is all for anastrozole if this approach doesn’t work.

Here is my current regimen. Most of my vitamins are by Metagenics, Thorne, Xymogen, Orthomolecular, Life extension, Douglas labs, Designs for health.

I have lost weight and feel a lot better since targeting all of my issues. The Food plan is very difficult as I have reactions to some interesting foods making prep tough and am now going gluten free for a year.

I am interested in a recommendation for a quality pro biotic at a cheaper price…if anyone has one…

Any thoughts or feedback?

That is really a lot to deal with.

Have you had an occult blood test to check for blood cells in your poop?
GI bleed would explain low iron.
Can’t find CBC data, RBC, HTC etc. Could also then be lower.

ZRT 4 vial cortisol test might be more interesting with ranges.

Probiotic.
I get this refrigerated at a local health food shop:www.ultimateflora.com/index.php/products/daily-support/critical-care-50

With due respect, I question whether that food sensitivity test is scientific. It rather seems like a scheme to separate hypochondriacs from their money. I would take them with a grain of salt.

That’s a lot of very beneficial foods to eliminate. I would question whether health problems would be reduced or amplified by so severely restricting your diet.

Sorry for my bluntness, but it makes me angry to see quacks selling this kind of nonsense to vulnerable people.

I really appreciate the feedback. I do get frustrated at times as I have been on this journey for better health for a while now (2-3 years) and even though I have decent days, I do not feel right. I am aware of the true possibility of some/most of these tests not being totally accurate and unscientific, however when one is not feeling well for a long time and has been to enumerable doctors and forms of treatment what do you do ya knowâ?¦I tried traditional medicine and that was a disaster.

At the least I am off of all psychiatric medications (which I was on many for years), sober for two years last month, have some moments of peace and energy, have a healthier diet with the loss of some bad weight, less selfish with gratitude, etc. Some days I am stuck in this fog of low grade fatigue/depression/fear.

On better days I can get to the gym, run errands, and do some minor work. (Been out of work for about 5 months as a high functioning school administrator). My new functional medicine doc has been the most helpful so far and does seem to think I was in a stage 3-4 adrenal burnout which would make sense as to why the recovery process is so long and convoluted.

My fecal occult blood test was negativeâ?¦

Thanks for the pro-biotic recommendation. I truly appreciate it.

Attached is my last full blood test and cortisol testâ?¦I am getting another full panel at the end of May.
