Ahh, so I could back load them with another bigger gauge. Might try that tomorrow.
@Dirt101posted in anther thread that he doesn’t pinch fat to do subq… with that in mind with my current issue (one-arm) I’m going to try it.
Thanks Dirt.
I’m going to inject IM one more time next week and get labs 5 days out (I inject on Sundays, so I’ll need to do it Friday). That will be 4 weeks, then I’ll subq inject for 4 weeks and get more labs and see how they measure up and how I feel after each 4 weeks. Sounds like subq will be the way to go.
Forgot to post:
04/02/2017 100mg (.5cc) cypionate in right quad.
04/09/2017 100mg (.5cc) cypionate in left quad.
Last injection in the quad. Will get labs this Friday. After the test I’ll do my first subq injection at .25cc. Then Monday/Tuesday(?), I’ll inject my second subq for the week at another .25cc.
Nevermind @KSman, just found it.
Labs to be done when on TRT:
-TT
-FT or bio-T
-E2
I think I’ll just get these.
Won’t get these:
Prolactin - No issue with this.
DHT: No baldness or prostate issues.
PSA/DRE: Did this first go around.
Only for hcg, which is a 5/16" pin, i do pinch a little for my T injection (ventrogluteal) which is probably still considered IM (although very shallow i would think). Just didtn want any misunderstanding. Good luck.
My wife had to do a blood thinner for the term of our second child. The insulin needles are 28G - 1/2" - 0.5ml. 45 of them are available, I’ll use these and then get 29G after.
Sorry, I’m lost as to what this is in reference to. Can you tell me what?
You stated above in this thread that i dont pinch skin to do subq (sorry dont know how to quote). So was just adding some details.
Ahhh, okay. I scrolled up and tried to find your name, maybe I missed it.
Thank you regardless. I have my wife to help me and I’m looking for something to help pinch if she’s not around. I’ll update when I can.
For sub Q should we pinch? I have just started sub Q this week, and have been pinching. I just want to make sure I am doing it right
That’s how I’m reading it. Just like insulin shots. I think it’s more for not bleeding as much. The layers of the skin “cross” or something.
If lean, pinching up the skin and injecting into the end of the fold works well and easily visualized on upper leg where one can also rest palm of injecting hand on leg to steady needle during the injection. If you are comfortable with any other method, great. I introduce methods that I feel are best technique for guys starting out. If injecting SC/SQ, I do not see any advantage of injecting in any specific location.
Well, I’m fat and with one-arm, so I should be able to NOT pinch or pinch if I feel the need. I’ll get my wife to do it the first couple times.
04/16/2017 50mg (.25cc) cypionate in right side belly (just forward hip).
I did my first subq injection last night and I did it in my belly fat. Imagine where your hip is and of forward (toward naval) one hand width. It was amazing! Going IM never bothered me until I started hitting scar tissue in my quads. Holy hell. As long as I’m on TRT, I’m only going to do subq. So far, no bruising either. Quick and painless. I didn’t pinch anything, since I’m fat enough as it is. I’m sure once I get below 20% (at or right above 30% right now), I’ll need to pinch a fatty spot to do it. I did seem to have a slight amount of oil leak out. Next time I’ll inject and quickly put the needle down and press it. I didn’t think to do it when I finished last night.
Didn’t even feel the 28g needle (1/2") go in. Didn’t feel the oil going in either. The thing that took the longest was trying to draw the oil out. Granted, it was slow already, but I had to try to pull the plunger and hold the vial at the same time. I ended up laying the vial on my leg and “balancing” the syringe/needle to do it. I had to make sure I didn’t bend the needle any.
Trying subq for twice a week to see if it helps with keeping blood levels steadier. I pin on Sundays and at 100mg once a week, by Friday or Saturday, I could tell I was coming down. So I plan on seeing if the twice a week helps with that. I know when I was doing 250/500mg once a week, I had no issues, but at such a low dose, it’s easier to tell. So, for the next 4 weeks, I’ll do 50mgX2 subq and see how it works. Of course, I’ll prolly stay with it as I don’t want to IM inject for such a little amount. When I do a blast, I’ll go IM obviously.

I’m really enjoying these subq shots. A little slower than IM since the need is smaller, but in the long worth, I feel, more worth it.
I’m in my 8th week and alternating subq shots back and forth on each side of my abdomen.
@KSman Not sure if you will see this, so I did the tag in this sentence.
Quoting you from another thread, I think I am encountering this. Week 1 through 6 felt great, at/around 7 and now at the end of week 8, I’m more moody and sensitive (mentally/crying/etc). I’m getting labs done tomorrow morning to get everything checked. At 100mg a week split to 2X50mg cypionate, do you think E2 might be high? I am suspecting that it is or too low of test? No swelling of nipples or sensitivity.
SubQ for the last 4 weeks at 100mg per week split into 2X50mg a week. To be fair, I took my last 50mg shot last Sunday (not yesterday) and wasn’t able to take my shot Wednesday. Had my labs appointment set for Friday morning, fasted. Friday would’ve been my “half way” point, but labs were drawn 5 days after my last 50mg injection via subq.
Will the results be skewed? I can try again and stay up with injections for the next 4 weeks and do labs again. I got the labs myself and would like to share this with my doctor. I’ll be honest with her and tell her about the mess up.
Sent my results to my doctor and her nurse called and stated that she compared it to my previous labs and I’m doing well. 181 to 416 for TT. Still not feeling well. Sluggish, falling asleep around 3 or so. She said we’ll have to wait for 3 month (in two months so far, so another month) to be able to make any changes in dosages. Concerned of my hematocrit and Hemoglobin, and RBC… obviously.
Asked me when was the last time I gave blood, told her today was the first day of the time I could give. I asked if I could give tomorrow, as I planned to… she has to ask the dr and will get back to me.
So, my dilemma… Went to my dr today and had blood drawn. I asked about maybe upping the dosage per week. Even just a little from 100mg per week to 110 or 120 per week. No can do. FDA recommends no more than 100mg per week and I’m not going past that.
I really like her, but I feel like I did before I started, even with 100mg per week. Whether it is 50mgX2 per week or 100mg once per week.
I asked if we could introduce hCG, she said we could, but there is something else that she prefers to give to her test clients…
T-Max Capsules:
Eurycoma/DHEA/DIM/Tribulus and added Pregnenolone.
That’s 75 a month plus another 15 dollars for something else. I really can’t add that into the budget.
So should I try to find another dr that will be willing to up the dosage? Just stay with her and figure this is part of life?
Opinions?
