What country are you in that you have appointments for cycles?
I’m in the US but I just made an appointment with my PCP for bloodwork.
A lot of doctors are less educated on good trt then a lot of experienced steroid users.
That doesn’t mean you should play doctor. He needs to doctor shop until he finds one willing to give him a script it’s really not that hard. Once he does that if your well educated you can use your experience to tweak his dosing and what not.
I wouldn’t consider myself well educated by any means, but I am on here daily and I do a lot of reading online as well. I pretty much look everything up that is unfamiliar to me until I am somewhat familiarized with it. I’ll tell him to keep looking around, we both have county jobs so our insurance is second to none so it won’t be an issue to go around to a few doctors it’s just going to be time consuming. I will hold off until he finds someone that is knowledgeable on TRT. My uncle will probably have a solid recommendation for him I’m waiting to hear back once he gets out of the OR.
The reason it’s important to have a doctor backing is incase something does go wrong the doctor has immediate access to test and a prescription pad. Especially for a older person this is important.
Once you find a doctor you might find he says some crazy shit like 1 shot of test cyp every 2 weeks. This is when you step in and guide him in a better protocol.
Cool, I’m gonna wait it out until he finds a doctor. Right now I’m running test prop and I have 4 vials of Cyp at my house in storage for when I get off so I can get my TRT going. I’d be more than willing to give my dad a vial but I’m going to wait until we find him a doctor that’s familiar with everything that seems like the most important first step at this point.
Now youre using your brain! Spend time researching doctors not researching what dose to give your dad
Does he know whats up, or question why your Total T is like 4000?
Hahaha yeah he’s super cool. Young dude who I’m familiar with, he knows I’ve done anabolics in the past it’s more of a maintenance thing for me. Want to be sure everything I’m taking is working properly and my body is working properly also. He obviously warned me of the potential side effects of everything but I have a suspicion he is on TRT as well lol
Most doctors even if they arent anabolic experts will do blood work and monitor you while on cycle. They wont prescribe test but they will make sure you dont die
That’s pretty much what he and I discussed. It’s a maintenance thing and he knows my goals and everything I’m trying to achieve. He knows he won’t stop me from doing it so the best thing he could do medically and professionally is monitor the situation and make sure nothing goes awry.
Slippery slope that alot of Drs want no part of. What if your E skyrockets and you are bloated with HBP now if he gives you an Ai its like he is somewhat complicit and helping continue.
Doesn’t have to prescribe the AI, only recommend it. I have access to all of that stuff via my brother-in-law (#3 ranked power-lifter in the world @275lbs) so it’s not an issue for me to get anything and he knows that as well. I’m very open with my doctor about everything I do so it helps he is receptive
I’m just saying in general. Right now is a difficult time to have a medical licence. Everyone is looking to blame Drs for the opiate crisis and overprescribing. So now most are being overly cautious about everything especially relating to controlled substances.
Oh yeah I 100% agree with that statement. It’s terrible because it’s only a few bad eggs in the bunch that make it difficult for everyone else because it is something that happens daily!
