Mysterious Skin - Joseph Gordon-Levitt is one of my favorite up and coming actors though. He really takes risks with the roles he does and seem to really get into them. I think that’s what made this movie weird, and too gay, for me. He makes out with dudes, plus there a lot of stuff about a creepy baseball coach that molests young boys. Then, there’s stuff about people thinking they were abducted by aliens. This movie was weird and all over the place.

I thought Mysterious Skin was really intense. It definitely went ballistic on uncomfortable topics, I mean like a bull in a china shop…seriously wince-worthy. It’s just I found myself still really appreciating the movie somehow. I think perhaps it was just…brave. Plus they actually played the Cocteau Twins in the soundtrack, that counts for a smidgeon if you’re me.

I actually rented it based on your recommendation. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t think it was bad, but just the subject matter creeped me out a little too much. Like you said, wince-worthy. I guess if you look at it that way, it was a good movie just based on the emotional response I got from it.
The subject matter was hardcore. I do like movies however that really affect me. It wasn’t really all over the place though, it put those out there people in front of your face but tied them in with those who just adopted the ‘out there’ theories to escape their own disgusting and horrible realities. I forgot I had recommended that movie to you, but if you are a fan of Joseph Gordon Levitt, you can’t go without it.

Actually, I wish you had gotten Dead Man’s Shoes first. That movie glued me to my chair and I’m not sure I blinked. But since they speak in a heavy british accent you could very well come back and say…‘dude, what the fuck were they saying’… but I have faith in you Vader. Use the force and you know, your language skills.

If you buy the Blu-Ray at Best Buy, then it comes with a Booty Sweat t-shirt. I’m going to wear mine with pride.
Pics or it didn’t happen.

I went to Best Buy yesterday and got Tropic Thunder, but didn’t see any shirt offers. I think had there been a shirt, I would’ve successfully convinced the hubby that we needed it on Blu-Ray…and that we needed a PS3.

I was thisclose.

Well, if that accents are that thick, then I’ll just watch the movie with the English subtitles on.

Actually, I do that pretty frequently anyway. Seems like there are a lot of movies where either the mix is screwed up and you just can’t hear what they are saying or the person speaking is mumbling or has an accent and I need the subtitles just to understand what’s being said.

Maybe my hearing is jacked from years of drumming during my youth as well.

Man, I really want to watch the Lost Boy tonight.

I watched North to Alaska with John Wayne last Wednesday. Hilarious.

Angel: “You broke up with her because you liked her? Is that a good reason?”

McCord: “One of the best unless you’re a sucker for trouble!”

Dude, if that shirt is any smaller than an XL, we are going to have to talk out back.

Oh so it was wrong to get the medium? I wanted it to be super tight.

haha…seriously though, it’s an XL. That’s the first thing I checked. I would have been pissed if it was any smaller.

tried to watch “you dont mess with the Zohan,” but had to stop after twenty minutes…that bad

Tropic thunder - fucking classic. “Never go full retard”.

Kung Fu Panda. Worth watching.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - I didn’t think it was nearly as bad as some people said. Yeah, it’s the worst Indy movie, but it does have some decent classic Indy stuff. The whole plot, and Shia subplot, was pretty weak and didn’t really belong in an Indy movie. And, speaking of Shia Labeouf, I cringed at the idea of him in this movie, but he wasn’t that bad either. I don’t know, maybe my expectations were so low going into this that it was impossible to be disappointed.

Idlewild - Could have been so much better. Turned out to be a long Outkast video – and not ATLiens and Aquemeni era Outkast. They decided to make a movie showcasing some of their worst music.

I also finished season 1 of The Wire. Amazing. This may be the best show I have ever watched.

I watched
-I am Legend (awesome)
-Iron Man (awesome)
-Pineapple Express (ehhh.)
-and The Dark Kight (double awesome)

at this hamazing site :

Zack and Miri make a Prono - very funny. Best comedy ive seen this year

Lol… See, I’d catch hell for turning on the English subtitles since I live with an Irishman, and afterall it is all the same language in the end just with a bit of accent. Regardless, I watched Dead Man’s Shoes on my own a few years back, and was at least astute enough to get the impact.

I didn’t know you were a drummer, that’s awesome. My hearing really should be fucked by now…I’m a singer who has seen her share of front row metal shows to boot. I think I must be blessed.

(By the way Vader, if you have Netflix, Dead Man’s Shoes is available on instant streaming if you have an Xbox360. If you don’t you should, I’m sick of you saying you are going to wait for things to come out or what not. Technology is there, take your share. This one is legal.)

Movies I’ve watched this week SINCE NETFLIX IS NOW STREAMING ON XBOX360 AND IT RULES:

Vera Drake- I recommend this movie to anybody who is conflicted on the abortion issue. In other words, you sanctimonious fucks who see only black and white, this ones for you. Not that it will ever sway the human side of you, because you haven’t one. But two thumbs up!

Most High- This was an indie film, those I love so much. Great acting as a matter of fact, and it’s always hit or miss with indie flicks. I like wading through the desert and then striking oil. That’s just my nature. Most would find this movie depressing, it held my fastened attention throughout. Let me warn you though, my attention span is other-worldly. So give it a miss if you are a fidgety retard.

I watched Tropic Thunder, …meh. Yeah… fucking …MEH. I said that. Comedic mediocrity at its best. Good for a few laughs, and most ruined by the previews and full retards on this board. Who are less than mediocre in all ways. Height-wise and otherwise.

Bollocks,

The end

What do you think NateDogg was posting everytime someone made a stupid comment or thread.

I didn’t understand the context then though. As far as comedies go, this was one of the better ones made.
