I think in 5-10 years they should re-do “Red Dawn”. And no, im not saying that because Patrick Swayze just died.
It was an awesome fucking movie, but I think with the right director they could put a little more into the storyline.

It’s currently in production, but with the Chinese as the enemy.

I would like to see a ‘good’ remake of Robin Hood. I think it could have a lot of potential.

Wow, I should really turn on network TV now and again. I lived for that as a kid. Doesn’t look bad to me…
Red Dawn is the worst movie I’ve ever seen.

The Lord of the Flies- Never read the book, or seen the original, but the premise alone is made for hollywood.

They actually have done this already. Back when i was in school a few years back we watched the Americanised version of it. It failed.

A Krull remake, with a real villian instead of an immobile lizard who vomits energy balls, would be the shit. Have Liam Neeson come back as the old man who helps the main character.
That would be fucking awesome!
Has anyone said Robocop? I’m going with Robocop with all the enhanced CGI it will be more enjoyable to watch. I will only watch it if it were rated R.

Man, I really don’t want this remade. The first one [to me] is one of those movies that just shouldn’t be fucked with, 'cause I know no matter what they do or who they get it can’t match up to the original. I also hear they’re gonna remake jaws, and that’s another one that should be left alone. I swear to god if someone tries to remake Back to the Future I’ll hop in my DeLorean and kick their dad in the nuts.

I suppose you have a point there. Like you said the movie has it’s own kind of style. Jaws would be a stupid remake it was scary, to a kid back then and if they did a remake now I don’t think it would be as scary. Guaranteed they will remake the Jaws music as well.

Zemeckis will probably remake them himself, but with that bullshit motion capture he’s stuck on using now.

Zemeckis better use something like a Lamborghini and Jason Statham otherwise it would be a waste of time.
A remake of Jaws would be terrible. You know they will just CGI the shark for the new one and it will look too fake.

Not sure about remakes, but I’d like it if someone would do a film version of Kafka’s masterpiece “The Metamorphosis”.
With today’s special effects, it would be great in the correct hands.
That’s kinda odd that I started this thread and you mention this story. I have an in class essay to write on this tomorrow morning.
Here is an easy way to decide if a remake is possible. Did the original film utilize special effects not created with cgi? and is the film largely forgotten except for a small cult following?
That list would be very long.
I’ll start:
Robocop( mostly stop motion)
Gremlins (puppets)
Clash of the Titans(Stop motion) and already under way…
One movie I DON’T want to see remade is Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid. I’ve heard that rumor on and off for years; to me, it’s the perfect buddy movie and pretty much untouchable.
Remakes I would like to see:
The Fantastic Four (lame movies, needs a complete reboot)
3 Days Of The Condor (classic Robert Redford spy film, very underrated)
Land Of The Lost (yeah, a little soon, but it was soooo bad, and had so much potential)
