It may take a while, but try and train yourself to not squeeze the handlebars too much, or put too much weight on your wrists. Not just because it hurts, but also because you will control the bike better when your arms are relaxed.
Think of it as an endurance exercise for the lower back. After a few months it becomes a reflex - you start riding, and your lower back gets flexed automatically to support your weight.
Keep the shiny side up and use a copious dose of self-restraint. Now you’ll never get bored anymore. ![]()
