Is it wrong that I resent the guys with the baller west Barbell gym so very much more than the dumb broads?

Anything from Tracy Anderson makes even the dumbest of the dumb look intelligent.

I can’t remember which video it is, but she talks about “reconstructing the muscle at the genetic level”.
She has no ASS and she has a big head literally a big head. I am so glad I got my wife away from shit like this.
Let’s see within the first 2 minutes the “tracy anderson method” states the following:
“It’s really important with your toning exercise you change up what your doing so you dont have any overworking of any muscle groups, because that creates bulk”

…really? thats what creates bulk? I fucking wish.

“with my method im always ocming up with new sequencing that keeps the assessory really awake and alert and pulls the muscle groups in so ur muscular structure is teeny tiny but strong…”

How are people allowed to say shit liek this…why is a person like this (I assume) making more money then someone who knows what the fuck they are talking about.
she’s way worse than that. i read an interview in a magazine where she talked about a crappy diet and terrible exercises and how she helps so many celebrities get lean, ballet dancer physiques. ugh.

This is terrible:

Can someone explain to me what “toning” is? I understand bigger and smaller, what does a toned muscle look like?
Toning is the PC term I use when I tan the hide of self righteous vegans (you know those vegans are sensitive) and make the hide into jackets and sell them back to vegans with a disclaimer that no animals were used in this product and I used a synthetic “leather” so they can still look cool in their leather jackets. See vegans are sustainable.
Haha!

I’d PIIHB first.

In Strong Enough: Thoughts From Thirty Years of Barbell Training by Mark Rippetoe(a solid read, would recommend), Mark pretty much explains why the fitness industry is awash with this crap. It simply comes down to ‘‘easier is easier to sell’’.

Lifting heavy weights is hard, lifting light weights for high-reps is easier and the illusion that you can target fat loss(which I assume they mean by ‘firming and toning’) on your stomach and arms(seems to be the most popular areas to ‘tone’)is very appealing to women who are already bombarded with pictures of ‘what a woman should look like’ by the media.

Also, the biggest guys in the gym are lifting heavy weights and not a whole lot of women want to look like that. So the fitness industry(and it’s exactly that, an industry) figured out a way to make money off selling easy and ‘feminine’ exercises.

Of course, a disturbing trend is that the male population seems to be turning their attention to this ‘firming and toning’ crap. I was at a party recently and my buddy’s brother was commenting on my weight gain and I was about to give him some advice when he told me he was ‘‘more into the toning of muscles than the building of them’’. And these forums are awash with stories of people hearing similar stories.

I don’t have any friends interested in lifting and all of them are susceptible to believing the latest trends from the industry(firming and toning, core stability etc). The general population seems to be under the illusion that the fitness industry know the answers and that it is somehow regulated by people that will only let ‘the truth’ be taught.

It’s a money racket at the end of the day, and as Rippetoe said, ‘easier is easier to sell’.

On the first video posted for Pilates there’s a comment asking if you could do it WITHOUT any weight because this person said it might hurt their back more than it already was.
So basically this person was asking youtube if it was OK to lift their arms a few times.

 1. “i heard you ONLY need protein like right after you lift.”

 2. i step up to the squat rack and a friend of mine (lacrosse player) stops and says, “why are you squatting? you don’t play a sport.”

 3. while watching a basketball game at my college a girl says while looking at a jacked basketball player, “why would he need arms that big? that can’t be functional for anything.”

christ. in a way, im not looking forward to meeting all my old school friends at our epic new years eve party, cos im just going to be fielding this shit all night, with my PT friend laughing in the corner at my annoyance.

Yeah, who ever heard of crap exercises like cable wood choppers? Oh, wait a minute, here’s Mike Robertson’s take on functional cable exercise, in a T-Nation article:

What’s with the comment “i wanna kill this whore…”? And I assume this is your comment on YouTube?

…stupid cunts like this contribute to the perpetuation of exercise ignorance amongst women and fruit cakes nation-wide.”

Do you have some anger issues regarding women? You don’t really need to flaunt your leanings, you made that clear with this post:

“…the last time i was this happy i had a cock in my mouth…”

What I see is a good-looking Ford model demonstrating some useful exercises that might entice women to do something other than cardio. As they get stronger, they can add weight to the stack.

^this

they aren’t going to add weight to the stack.

doing just cable choppers as "functional? exercise is like putting a 2000$ muffler on a 1994 geo metro. yeah the muffler works, but your car still sucks
