I think it’s really cool that EmilyQ came to this site as a nonlifter who was just doing research on us Neanderthals. She got hooked and is now a pretty serious lifter.

Whoa, hold on, I didn’t come to the site to research you neanderthals! Let’s not worsen Professor X’s paranoia that regular people consider bodybuilders freaks. I came for equipment terminology. At the time I was building a fictional make-do gym in a barn.
Why I wound up staying after getting the info I needed was because as I was getting ready to exit the site I glanced at the yellow list of forums to the left, and somehow “Sex and the Male Animal” leapt out at me. Hmm. Before I knew it, I’d read back through two or three years’ worth of SAMA threads and had begun reading articles and poking around in the GAL and Politics forums.
I’m still here because I’m waiting for the promised Serious Sociological Article on Pushharder’s lifestyle.
Which reminds me, I came across a scene in my book after I’d started lifting that cracked me up. The hero is in the gym with his buddy. He’s benching…and I have him talking through a set. lol
I threw some more weight on the bar and shut him up when I rewrote it.

Is he supposed to be the average gym douche, or is he different?

No, no, he’s different. More like you. (You don’t talk during sets, do you?)

I am waiting for this also. One night when I was more than half in the bag I sent him a PM saying I was thinking about starting a thread on the realities of having multiple playthings and stuff like that but then I pussed out. Hopefully he is keeping notes!!

So you’ll leave once it’s published? (If and when)
Um, yeah. I guess so! As soon as I read the sociological study and we get Neph’s love life straightened out, I’m done. I’ll find a lacrosse site, maybe, see what that lot is up to.

I wondered whatever happened to that thread, lazy bones.
Ha! Well too bad I can’t change my username or I would be lazy bones or puss pants! Like I said before, we can’t all be as brave as you sweetie! (^;
