Isn’t chili a mexican dish? You know, where they used to eat alot of beans… Then how can a purist… not have beans?
Kuz, thanks so much for posting up this recipe. It’s the best chili ever. Been eating this continually for lunch for the past month. I add one serrano pepper and double the chili powder and red peppers for an extra warm kick. Any idea what the nutritional stats are for 1 cup of this goodness?

Got to love a thread on chili. With apologies to the Texas contingent, I like beans in my chili. What I hated was the insane farting. What I found for me is that by eliminating the tomato, I eliminated the farting. So, my basic chili recipe:
2 lbs of ground meat (beef, turkey, buffalo)
2 cans of black beans
salt and pepper while cooking the meat and dark chili powder to taste
Sometimes I’ll throw leftover broccoli in to the mix, that’s a good way to get some veggies into the old diet. Other times I’ll add some jalapenos or chipotle peppers or both.
In my opinion, the single best way to eat chili is on top of a couple of eggs cooked over easy. Yummmmy.
