Molyneux on Incels

Dude. This isn’t up for debate. Google it. There are tens of thousands of public libraries in the US, and over 100,000 libraries of all kinds.

Actually this is a great example of how you think the world operates and how it actually operates.

2, 509 that he built. He pretty much guaranteed that you could fall down and land on one.

My grandparents and father have their own home libraries, so between that and borrowing /exchaging books with other family members, or buying my oldest kid stuff like “Diary of a wimpy kid”, we never had to use the library that much, but there are indeed a few around us.

Seems like people go there mainly to use the computers though . I’m not really that surprised that people don’t read, but who doesn’t have a computer and an internet connection at home?

As an aside, my oldest started bringing home Franco - Belgian comics like Asterix and Tintin, and while I do like the humour, I read Tintin in the Congo and wholy shit is that racist as fuck.
On the other hand you can’t even be mad about it, just like old Tarzan movies (never read the books), you know they didn’t mean to.

Do you live in Maine?

It probably puts a band aid on super intense feelings of loneliness that I can only barely relate to

The silliness of the movement is quite amazing, actually.

You can see a whole slew of literature written by people, who, self-admittedly, can’t get laid.

Why would you listen to people who can’t get laid if you want to get laid? How are their views about women and relationships even remotely accurate if they suck with women? That’s like asking someone living under a bridge how to get rich.

I don’t think they’re giving one another advice. They’re more so stating their flaws and defects. I don’t find them sharing that to be surprising. If people struggle with something, they’re inclined to find others doing the same.

I think some of it is likely accurate. If someone states characteristics of oneself that are generally unattractive, is he wrong? Of course wallowing in defects or flaws, real or imagined, don’t help a situation, and flaws have not stopped most men from pursuing and attracting women.

They are expressing their views from their unsuccessful interactions with women, and further extrapolating upon them to arrive at certain conclusions that apply to the dynamics of normal male and female relationships, which are outside of their experiences.

Indeed, there are some things which may be accurate. This is the problem with a movement. Because people identify with the small percentage of stuff that is accurate, they start accepting the rest of the stuff that is inaccurate.

You seem to have a degree of determination and practicality that is far beyond your average incel

Loading up on excuses may feel better in the short term tho

Yeah I’d rather avoid getting my mind infected with bad ideas, but there’s got to be a number of reasons why it’s growing

That actually is very problematic. They think in terms of extremes and I once did too, as shown from a deleted post that @greenboy quoted. For example, I used to think stuff like, I can’t get a woman because I’m not rich, not powerful or from a powerful family, not talented enough… all that money stuff. Although being powerful and rich are indeed attractive characteristics, not having them doesn’t disqualify a man from being attractive to some or even many women. The problem is when people think that women as a whole ONLY will go for extraordinary men or that ALL women are a certain way , and so on.

It’s growing because people are trying to make it mainstream by broadening the scope of the term INCEL. Lots of them do it for commercial reasons. The girl who started it has moved on, like most normal people do, and has disowned the movement.

Yeah

That’s why, in spite of what some posters may think, Molyneux is relevant to this discussion. He is telling lonely young men that their problems with women are the result of some almost conspiratorial forces working against them…them being white heterosexual males.

It’s women, blacks, Jews, etc., who are trying to emasculate them and force their extinction. They aren’t being allowed to procreate. Hence the involuntary aspect. People fall for it because we find it easier to blame others for our problems.

Bud, stop. The topic is incels not Molyneux. I know you’re fixated on that potato headed werido for your own perverse reasons but that topic is dead; stay focused. No one cares who you think he is or isn’t. You’re getting ridiculous.

Or a guy who never got big or strong on how to get big or strong.

Or Rippetoe on how to maintain eye contact.

Should I keep going on insisting no one goes to libraries just to see how mad you get?

The comment wasn’t supposed to be taken completely serious. @deandre_va_der_saar got what I meant, why didn’t you?

RELAX , my guy.

You are the master of spin, my dude. You were even laughing at ‘this place’ for the ridiculousness of our assertion that public libraries aren’t dead. Deandre noted that like the rest of us, he’s near libraries. Now you’re throwing out a desperate cry for help to your boy in hopes that he’ll back you up. Honestly man, imagine how much less petty and childish you’d have looked if you were just like “wow, didn’t realize that they were still so common”.

Did you decide it wasn’t to be taken serious after everyone pointed out you were wrong?

Funny how he always gets what you mean…almost like the same person or something.
