Molyneux on Incels

What do you mean by that?

My brother in law was in a shitty local metal band - he was lead guitar … I went to a couple shows back in the day … there was no shortage of girls there … a good portion of whom weren’t uggos

Beside it’s not about getting girls per se … it’s about pursuing something that’s challenging, improves yourself and makes you interesting

Edit: I also have to wonder if you play an instrument? Have ever played?

The way I see it, if the mods are going to allow this sudden influx of white nationalism (yesterday someone else created a thread espousing it) then they shouldn’t have a problem with me calling them pieces of shit.

If it’s the thread I am thinking about, the OP was not espousing white nationalism despite the politically-incorrect article linked.

Anyway, I doubt you calling people losers and POS’s does much other than minorly annoy them.

What about freedom of speech?

You are almost as hysterical as @H_factor

True, you can get out of it.

People can throw off the shackles of inceldom at any time, as it is almost always a self imposed prison.

But the longer time passes, the harder it likely is.

I assure you, the government will in no way attempt to prevent you from expressing yourself on an internet forum.

The thing with me is that I was an incel, went non-incel, went incel again, went non-incel, and got married. I believe for me, both incel phases were there because of inadequate socialization and depression, which obviously is characterized by cognitive distortions (eg, not asking women out and not making physical moves on dates because one has a low self image, and not having the psychological acquit my to recognize indicators of interest). As you can see, this had absolutely nothing to do with feeling owed anything. If anything, I felt was not owed or deserving.

@TheCB Do you think the incel problem and loneliness epidemic will become so big that incels become a fifth column of sorts? Loneliness is now even considered a public health risk. So I’m surprised when people ask, ā€œWhat really is the problem?ā€

Showing a larger societal issue that @TheCB @Beyond_Beyond and @greenboy take notice of, namely, a fragmented, atomized society.

As can be seen, human connection, including romantic connection isn’t a matter of only getting ones rocks off.

Faking that you aren’t is even more lame than being one. You despise non whites and view them as lesser humans. You hate Jews. You deny the Holocaust.

Isn’t this a different topic? It’s very possible for people to feel those things even when in in committed relationships having sex.

These things aren’t hallmarks of incels only. It would also be possible for incels not to feel these things.

Americans feel lonely because the internet exists is different from are incels a new phenomenon in my opinion.

Yup.

I keep brining up existentialism, nihilism, stoicism and absurdism for this very reason. The feeling of loneliness is not necessarily resolved with companionship.

Or, I suppose there is always solipsism. Then loneliness is understandable.

Serious question: why do you have friends and a family considering the hefty emotional, intellectual and financial investments requires for them when you could’ve been satisfied without them through such philosophies? I hope my question comes across alright.

With enough nihilism, stoicism or absurdism, finances, emotional and intellectual investments are all pretty inconsequential.

Not me. I detest the 90’s. It ruined action films, it poisoned metal with grunge, and it gave the world Friends, Tony Blair, and Harry Potter.

Fuck the 90’s.

Don’t @ me.

Edit: I say this as a child of the 90’s. I’ll fight all y’all on how irrepressibly shite it was.

I don’t follow or even know much about many of those philosophies.

It also ruined Voltron with power rangers

The irony that my gif is from a 1994 film is not lost on me.
