There’s only one, so no.
There’s only one, so I’d guess it costs more to produce than others are willing to pay for it.

The price would be inflated. If people need and want to buy cars-and they do-the lack of products to buy would raise the price. Scarcity.
Inflated over what? There’s ONE automobile, in your scenario.
A side observation.

Three words: Medicare for All
Yes 1 auto. How many people do you think need and want to purchase a vehicle? If there is only 1 available do you think that the price would be bid up, down or stay the same as previous sales?
Previous sales of what?
What do you think?
Blame the Affordable Care Act.
Either go whole hog into social medicine or don’t let the government interfere at all. That bill is a terrible mess.
I have no idea. There is only one automobile in this scenario, but there are previous sales. Previous sales of this automobile, or are there additional automobiles that you have left out of the scenario?
At 74 years old, I prefer my former employee’s group plan. I have no plans to get government health insurance in the future.
I was under the impression that when you turn 65, medicare is automatic
A person is not required to use Medicare, just to have health insurance. In fact if I weren’t married to a person who has qualified for Medicare, I would have to pay for Part 1, if I wanted to use Medicare. I didn’t work enough quarters where I paid Social Security. I was on a pension plan for 41 years.
So, do you think others should not have that choice?
I had choices. I made mine. What are you asking?
If you are asking if I believe my group insurance is better than Medicare, then yes I do.
If you don’t have insurance when you are Medicare eligible, I suppose your choices are limited.
I prefer to avoid all things “government” controlled. Some people like all things “government” controlled.
@castoli711, have you decided to not answer my question?
Wth are you talking about? What question?
Corporate control is more like it. So others ought to have the options of choice. To receive government healthcare or not, that is the question.
We’ve done this before. Click on the “N” that will take you back to the post with the question.
If you weren’t so consistently ignorant about all things, I’d say you are just the longest-running troll in internet history…
If you are not part of a group healthcare plan, you just plain don’t have that opportunity. Now you could seek employment with a company that offers group healthcare through the company. That is your choice.
I don’t see what your concern is. You want cradle to grave healthcare, with a multitude of options?? If my former employer goes under, I will have to seek healthcare elsewhere. I don’t get the corporate control that you are suggesting. I know that you tend to believe all societal ills are the result of greedy corporations, I just haven’t experienced that.
Yeah, just like every other industrialized country. But we don’t have the choice until we’re 65. We ought to have that choice, at the least.
