Modern Monetary Theory: A Primer

Do i need a hammer to pound this in to your head? Published papers are King in academia (where all these ideas like MMT originate). Has been that way for a long time. Criticism/rebuttal outside of published papers is entertaining but holds no weight. Ask any academic about this and they will confirm.

Maybe this. These 6 Corporations Control 90% of the Media in America

Evidence please.

Yes.

That doesn’t mean it’s propaganda…

So you really are that stupid…got it.

Of course you have to say this because it is a way to avoid having your beliefs being debunked in real time.

I’m going to post this debate, and I’m going to request that you give us the times that what you constantly claim happened…happened. You frequently refer to this debate, so pointing the rest of us to specific instances that prove your claims should be no problem.

No, because it’s the fucking truth…
If one is in academia (where all these folks are) and doesn’t publish, their work doesn’t mean shit and they will quickly be sans job.

Does this mean that they aren’t artificially inflating their prices? Maybe prices would be lower if not for the artifical inflation.

And what about this?

But hey, maybe the CEO’s are just making it up.

Does the need to publish discount the validity of debates?

So you really are this blind…got it.

No, but all the money they take from advertisers. Do you think they would report a story that is financially hurtful to their advertisers even if it was truthful? Get the media in fewer hands and the message is easier to control.

It discounts their efficacy

Does this mean they shouldn’t defend their beliefs in a debate?

Laying yourself open to defending your beliefs does not discount it’s efficacy. Are you fucking nuts? Back up, in real time what you’ve published. In a debate your penchant of hiding is gone. If your confidence in your position is strong, this shouldn’t be a problem. But to you it is. What does that say about your position?

Net profits percent wise are the same. This means that cost has increased as well. I don’t expect you to understand that because you don’t understand basic math.

Some folks aren’t good at debate. Writings are universally understood

Since MMT relies heavily on bullshit math to “prove” that its claims will lead to no inflation and 100% employment (what a load of crap), that can’t be “talked through” and must be shown through pen and paper.

Any asshole can power his way through a debate and “win”, just look at Trump. It takes fine articulation and finesse to flush out a theory in writing.

What you’re basically saying is that Stephen Hawking should have just debated people instead of writing down his theories and backing it up with math. Your reliance on debate as “proof” is faulty at best.

@castoli711, I’m replying to my own post because you seem to have missed it.

Government good except when bad. Money good except when bad. Propaganda good except when US does it. I think that covers it.

The fact we can freely talk about it without governmental repercussions. The proof is in the pudding…There clearly is no hive mind in the US, at least present on these boards - I mean shit, you’re here, right, spouting your nonsense about MMT. If propaganda were actually effective in this country you wouldn’t be here spouting your nonsense - not to mention there has been nuanced rebuttals to your idiocy.

Coincidentally, as evidence that you’re such a purist you reject any rebuttal, even those sympathetic to your theory, if it’s not a purist regurgitation of your theory … if anyone’s brainwashed here, it’d be you, but you’re so far gone you won’t even consider that to be a possibility … which, if my memory serves correctly, is a tell-tale sign of a weak-minded cultist.
