Modern Monetary Theory: A Primer

Buybacks pump up the stock price so that shareholders and the CEO’s compensation pay will rise. More money for the few.

Yes a question, you don’t want to answer. Obviously opening up a new facility.

And back in the real world…

Keep reaming tad.

And what should we say about a system that consistent fails in this regard?

Do you know what profit even is?

Must be nice to be this damn dense and not recognize innate human nature.

Show me anywhere in the world where greed doesn’t play a major role…

One of the main principles of MMT is that a country can print/spend indefinitely as long as production isn’t maximized. An entire discuss was had about it like 500 posts ago.

Holy
Fucking
Shit

You literally just posted this and you have the audacity to say I don’t know what I’m talking about:

Amazing.

For your information, not that it will matter, but buybacks do not increase or decrease profitability.

Do you think companies open new production facilities, ie increase productivity, to not make a profit? What if the buyback occurs at a higher stock price than they received during their offering?

Good point

Oh that is how it is also in the real world for those with money.

I just prefer the people with the monopoly on state sponsored violence to not ultimately be in charge.

I called people terrorists? Where.

And what comes with that profit? More power. And what is done with that power? Rig the system for more power/money.
But it’s good to know that you have a cartoon version of he system. I guess this is how you live with this garbage. Great coping mechanism.

You did exactly that to me.

Literally in this post you called US military terrorists (if you care to read a few posts above it).

Just say you don’t know what profit is. I already know you don’t. Why fight it?

Has literally zero to do with the question:

Sure boss…

Zero. That is Zep’s MO.

Like when you consistently refer to me as pencil neck.

So when shareholders make more money via the stock price, you call that something else? When a CEO makes more money because of the stock buyback that is not profit for them? Split hairs if you like but the end result is the same. Mo money and consequently more power to buy off(bribe) politicians.

That was after you attacked me.
And don’t try dropping the Recluse label, Pencil Neck Recluse.

Uh, ya… Lmao

It’s called an unrealized or realized capital gain.

I want you to know I am legitimately laughing right now.

No, it’s not and this is why these “conversations” are pointless. You are clueless.

It’s not splitting hairs. It’s the difference between understand what’s being discussed and being ignorant. If you don’t understand an incredibly basic concept like profit talking about entire economic systems is a complete waste of time as evidenced by this thread.

You said:

About a company deciding whether to buyback stock or open a new facility and then, in typical Zep fashion, try to pivot to CEO compensation or stock owner gains.

They are entirely different things and you’d know that if you read more books instead of posting YouTube videos on PWI.
