Here’s the deal…what if he is innocent?
Being found legally “not guilty” of a specific crime and being truely “innocent” of criminal behavior are two totally different things. I don’t believe folks are found “innocent” of anything. Legalese it may be, but if one is charged with murder, when it was actually manslaughter, they may be found “not guilty” of murder, but they still killed someone and aren’t truely “innocent.”
That being said, I would reserve my own judgment until the folks that are there to hear the trial are done and reached a verdict. I do this because he is, at this time , legally “innocent” and I’m not privy to all the proceedings.
I completely agree… I have no idea if he’s guilty or innocent. I’d like to think that he’s innocent, and this crackwhore mother is just trying to take advantage of him.
But even if he’s guilty, I think the mother should lose custody of the children, especially if she knew it was going on but kept quiet because he was paying her well.

Is this the best thing we have to talk about? I couldn’t give two shits about what Micheal did or did not do.
Maybe one shit though…
The dude is seriously fucked in the head, I’m no psychiatrist but that is my diagnosis! The mother is negligent and needs to lose custody of her children. I can bet you that no one will do prison time.

I think being convicted requires more than simply being “strange”. What gets me is the apparent hatred of him by so many people all of a sudden. The guy is weird, possibly mentally stunted in age, and has been allowed to grow up isolated from most of the world. While I may not think he is completely right in the head, there is a big jump from that and wanting him to die.
Also, considering the boy has lied on the stand, I have little doubt that this was a stunt to get more money out of him. Should he be more aware? Hell yes. He needs to wake up and realize that he grew up over 20 years ago. That doesn’t mean he deserves jail time or death.
I totally agree with you.
If he is guilty, I hope that investigators will find hard evidence to put him behind bars forever. The testimony of a kid means nothing (I know most people won’t like this sentence, but it is true). Do you think they can’t lie for money, specially if their mother is asking the kid to lie.
This thing reminds me of the witch hunt during the 80s. They put many people behind bars, based on kids testimonies that many years later were found out to be completely false. And in those cases, money was not part of the equation.
Again, if he is guilty, hopefully they’ll find hard evidence to send him to jail.

Professor X, do you honestly think he isn’t a pedophile?
I don’t know what he is, but I don’t think he sexually gets off on this. Pedophiles don’t openly display or talk about things the way Mike does. No pedophile, in a media-based interview outside of a confession, is going to tell the world, “I sleep in the same bed with them…it’s charming”. He sounds like Peter Pan on acid. No, I don’t think he is a pedophile. I think he is someone who needed some mental help years ago to cope with whatever the hell is wrong with him but he never got it.
I mean, honestly, “NeverLand Ranch”? Who here as a grown man would waste a few million on something like that when there are thousands of girls to impress and screw and hundreds of expensive cars and motorcycles to buy? That doesn’t scream “Pedophile” and you know it. It screams “Fucked up” but not pedophile.
Regardless of what anyone says, being fucked up alone does not mean someone should be burned at the stake. Mike is an easy target. He sets himself up as that. However, one thing I do know to be true is not one kid was bitching back in 1985 when he was hanging with Webster and Bubbles. Not one parental committee had been formed while Billy Jean was hitting the airwaves and Thriller is still the highest selling recording to ever be released. Mike was weird back then…but so was Boy George, Cindy Lauper, and countless others.
This mother set this up and the kid is lying on the stand. How anyone can look past the lies and STILL try to say he did this to them doesn’t make sense to me. Some of you want him to be guilty of sexually fondling a kid. I personally would rather wait until all of the facts come out. So far, it’s looking like a set up.

Not commenting on the case, as I’m just another person with an opinion, but I agree with Professor X… if I were a millionaire, I sure as hell would use that to get women instead of 13-year-old “friends”.
Accusations of pedophilia aside, the guy pretty much lost his childhood and the lack of family support caused him to really, really hate himself, no matter how successful he got with his career. All those little boys in his life is Jackson’s way of making up for lost time, I think.
All those plastic surgery and crazy stuff that goes on with him… it’s for attention. Children love being in the center of the attention, and like some of the posters here believe, he is still a child mentally. Hey, whatever he’s doing right now is working. He shows up for court in pajamas and we’re talking about him in a bodybuilding site, aren’t we?
Speaking of webster (Emmanuel Lewis) on a recent Jackson documentary it said Lewis’s mother put the kabosh on their friendship in the early ninetys when she caught Jackson trying to check himself and Webster into a hotel room without anybodys knowledge.
She didn’t sue anybody just ended any relationship they had period!
Foxnews said today that the prosecution is in possession of letters written back and forth between the kid and Jackson, supposedly discussing the kid being touched.

Unless, of course, you had serious mental issues that brought out Pediphilia in you and therefore didn’t care that much about women, etc. Right?
Not a good argument there.
I mean, it sounds like you think pediphilia is an economic condition for guys that don’t have millions or can’t afford women?
(For that matter, can ANY of us really afford women these days?)
And? If he is found guilty of this crime and is legally competent (which he evidently is, or we’d have heard a different plea), then he should pay the price for it regardless of what his family life was like. Until then, I still reserve my judgement.
However, just because a person does something when they are “nuts” doesn’t mean they should get off scott-free, they still need some form of psychiatric help and to be kept away from public appearances (and in this case, kept from having children around them).
I would agree, however, that if he did NOTHING illegal but is just (VERY VERY VERY) weird, he shouldn’t be legally penalized for being (VERY BLOODY FREAKIN’) weird. I’d also agree that if the mother and child are lying, they should get the hammer brought down on them.

Like I said, I’m just a guy with an opinion here. I didn’t even flat-out call him a pedophile. I’m just saying that his behavior is unusual, so no wonder some people are suspicious of him. Chill out, your energy is better spent elsewhere.

I think Jackson’s going to eat a bullet if he gets convicted (which I think he should). No way he’d survive prison.
Man, I forgot I even posted on this thread. I didn’t realize until now how it sounded…
Prof X, I wasn’t suggesting Michael should eat a bullet, I was saying that I think he should be convicted (but the way I wrote that remark, it sure sounded like the former). However, after reading some of the posts here (mostly yours), I guess you do have a point. The dude is weird… but there’s no law against that. Although, I don’t necessarily buy it that he’s just eccentric. There is something creepy and damn well wrong about his relationship with children.
What I’m wondering now, considering how the trial is going, is when he’s going to change his plea to “guilty by reason of insanity”…
