Michael Jackson Dead Today

I used to go running at the track with my walkman listening to the Thriller album. You couldn’t fuck with that record.

In a court of law. I think he was a weirdo and a pervert. Would you let your kid stay over his place? I would not.

You’re talking about the most famous man in the world. Yeah, there’s alot of famous people and most of them are weirdos, but none of them are Michael Jackson famous. Tom Cruise is famous, and he’s a fucking loon, but he’s not Michael Jackson famous. Angelina Jolie’s pretty fucking famous and pretty fucking weird, but she’s not Michael Jackson famous. There’s been three people in the history of the world who’ve attained that level of noteriety and they’ve all self destructed: Elvis, Michael Jackson, and Britney Spears, and maybe she’s young enough that she can somewhat do damage control. There reaches a point of being TOO famous, and these three hit it. I’m not condoning what he did, or allegedly did, but no one here will ever understand the level of insanity his life reached on every concieveable level. The first tape I ever bought was BAD when I was in kindergarten. He was the greatest entertainer in music history, and no one will be able to touch what he’s done. Show some fucking respect.

I will never show him respect. Because he’s a celebrity? Please. He was a weirdo pervert. He paid out alot of millions for a reason.

So you’re 25 or so. I was about 25 when Bad came out. I don’t care what he did, he sang songs, whoop dee doo. Don’t make him any better than any other pervert.
1. Once again, what he did was wrong, and he’s no better than anyone else, but you reach 1/100th his celebrity and see how “normal” you remain.

Lord…please don’t take Prince next, I don’t think i could handle the trauma.

Damn, this crazy…surreal. I remember when I had a jheri curl because of Michael Jackson…and set it on fire to be just like Michael Jackson…he had that kind of influence during my childhood…

I was up a couple of nights ago watching The Jacksons: An American Dream…just crazy…damn,I can’t get out of the house to Muay Thai class.

This actually saddens me more than I would have thought.
Amazing talent in a package that just couldn’t stay wrapped together.

Well said, guy had ridiculous talent.
Oh no doubt about it. Forgetting even about his later years for a minute. Dig up some old dusty Jackson 5 material. That kid had the voice of an angel. The last 2 decades of his life were a protracted theater of escalated freakishness and instability. A real tragedy.

man I feel bad. I was reading a new article on worst plastic surgerys and there was micheal jackson on msn.com

I wouldn’t let my kids stay at ANY pop star or movie stars house just because there famous. Its called parental duty.

I bought 3 copies of Thriller on vinyl when it came out. RIP

Hmmm…then you have to ask what “non-weirdo” parent lets their kids sleepover with a grown man…exactly.

I’m bummed about this. Moreso than I thought. Cherish every day, tomorrows no guarantee.

I bet the 405 is stopped, completely.

I was fucking shocked. I actually heard this on the radio today at the gym and much chatter was followed.

RIP to a very talented man.

Of course, if you listen to ABC you can hear this young talent early on. Even his stuff as grown man was very good, innovative, and unique. Many tried to imitate but no one came close. Dude was on a whole different level of music. Look how many people in today’s music use his music to sample from, it’s a list of who’s who in the industry. Gotta pay the respects. Especially now, when good music is more rare then ever.

Big Boss, I hear you, in a couple hrs I am gonna go workout, and I have memories like yours. Most people can remember the first time they heard a kick ass song from him.

I can’t take credit. Jim Jeffries said it first.

Dude the 405 is FUCKED right now, and I have to drive through there a little later. I am already looking for streets to bypass, like Sepulveda, Coldwater Canyon, or Beverly Glen.

Coming soon, the remix of Bad… Dead… I’m dead, I’m dead, I’m really really dead.

I’d usually be in it right now but I have to work in San Diego, so I’m not going home to Ventura County till tomorrow. Kinda thankful for that.

Sneak your way behind LAX somehow and get on PCH, figure it out once you get through the bu.

I agree with your sentiment, but I wouldn’t put Britney in the same company as MJ. Just saying…

Agreed. Maybe Madonna instead.
The only reason I didn’t say Madonna is 'cause she was in the same era as Jackson and always played second fiddle. The three I mentioned were in a whole other galaxy.
