Men Going Their Own Way

This thread seems to have taken somewhat of a strange turn.
I never said drinking you own cum will make more successful. I said conserving your sexual energy channeling it towards the things you want to achieve in life will yield better results. You seem to be taking a few things out of context on purpose or incidentally

Actually I would disagree, almost all (if not all) man’s actions in someway or another are orientated towards reproduction or protection offspring (selfish gene). You see your job as important and something that provides you with resources to survive and dispense to your family if you have one or to attract a mate. You wouldn’t work for free, your job serves you someway indirectly in passing on your genes (reproduction). Imagine if you when you got those sexual urges at work you used that energy and channeled it towards your work. I bet you would see a increase in productivity… but since this stuff is fake don’t bother right :)
I understand what you’re saying, I see them as separate drives though. The desire to gather resources by going to work every day, saving, keeping my family secure, etc involve higher processing areas of the brain. There are relatively complex causal relationships that must be navigated and demands placed on executive functioning.

Sticking my dick somewhere wet and warm is base and reptilian. Caring for the progeny of that encounter then reverts to the higher order thinking above.
We will agree to disagree then, I am more along the lines of evolutionary psychology, in my thinking. All of what we do comes from the drive to reproduce and protect our genes and that the higher brain processes merely facilitate these baser (simpler) drives.

The selfish gene was a mind opening book for me, if you haven’t read it you should check it out even though it may not change your views it is interesting nonetheless.

Thank you for the recommendation, I’ll check it out.

I’ll have a really good time?

While I’m the first to typically point out that humans are insignificant fallible little peons in the universal perspective, I think you give too little credit to our abilities.

They are addicts. Very few addicts of anything are successful.

This is a shitty example, because they are addicts. Key word: addict.

No, it’s basic economics, like 101 level.

Take your issues up with the likes of Sowell.
Basic economics? Hardly. Look, I’ve never questioned you on a financial issue, but allow this time to be the first.

What “VALUE” does a stay at home wife provide?

Sex once a week? That’s $600 a month.
Cleaning/laundry? That’s $400 a month.
Cooking/meal prep? That’s $800 a month.

So the BEST CASE scenario with a wife that fucks you, cleans the house and cooks all your meals is only an $1800 a month value add. That’s only $21,600 a year… And that’s ASSUMING that she actually DOES these things. There are plenty of entitled bitches that don’t.
A wife (even one you fall out of love with) provides numerous intangibles that would be almost impossible to value.

Edit:

Lord, I didn’t realize how far back in the thread I was…

Yes you will and you know what I think it is great thing to do every once in a while. Too many people over indulge rather then under indulge in these activities leading to mediocrity. If your constantly releasing energy in celebrations, you have no energy to develop yourself and better yourself because it was spent partying

Your energy and time was spent there, you can’t get it back and these activities certainly don’t energize you after you are done them in fact you probably feel a little deflated. Tell me how energized you feel when your hangover, or with minimal sleep, or watching porn and ejaculating too it? Often you feel worse then when you started. It is subtle but if you abstain from these things and then introduce them back into your life you will notice a big drop in energy levels after you are done engaging in these activities.

This is only my experience as a 21 year old I try to look around and make the decisions that I see successful people making and avoid making decisions unsuccessful people make. As well as educating my self on evolutionary psychology, developmental psychology and psychology in general and other subjects I feel and think will help me lead the best life possible

You don’t have to believe any of this but how about just try a few of these things that I am advocating (if you are not already) stop watching porn for 90 days, reduce alcohol, reduce ejaculation and see what happens. If you feel better cool if not cool. Then you will know for sure whether or not this is true or just B.S.

I am not looking too discredit us human beings. In fact I think we are remarkable. Simply I am looking for the root of our decisions I will not deny we do have other drives but if I am trying to predict how someone will act I think in the terms of baser drives to reproduce and pass on genes. I see this as neither good nor bad merely as what is.

Damn I was told I would go blind

WTF bullshit is he spewing now?
Lift or die wrote:

I think mediocrity owes its dues to a lot more than this.

I’d go out on a limb say if this is truly as detrimental as you say, watching TV and playing video games for hours a day is significantly worse.

But releasing your energy lifting weights is somehow different because why?

Also, note why you get bigger stronger and faster when you lift. Why would party be any different?

You make a lot fo assumptions in your posts on the topic, and this is one.

Lol, yes, from the BOOZE, not the party or a good time.

I am sleep deprived about 6 months out of every year… It isn’t even that bad until the last couple weeks.

Not even close. If I didn’t feel better after rubbing one out I wouldn’t do it, lol. This has been said a couple times and is the biggest pile of horseshit I’ve ever heard.

I’ve looked back at the way I treated women and felt bad. I’ve looked back at the women who enjoyed the dirty sex and felt bad I didn’t keep hitting it. But I have never felt bad after working one out… Not at all. If I did, I wouldn’t do it.

Why the hell would anyone without psychological problems continue to knuckle punch his swimmers into an old gym sock if he felt like shit after? That makes no sense.

How is something subtle yet a “big drop” at the same time?

No, lol. I like it. Why would I stop doing something I like that hurts no one?

If I drink twice a month it is a busy month.

ANd hell to the no. I’m married with a very healthy sex life that both my wife and I enjoy. I’m not getting off any less than I do now. Our sex life has only gotten better with time and I’m not fucking up that trend for some silly shit I know is 100% in your head mumbo jumbo.
If you feel better cool if not cool. Then you will know for sure whether or not this is true or just B.S.
You know what? I know if I was to chop my finger off with a hatchet it would hurt. I don’t need to actually chop one off to know this, it’s pretty apparent based on the evidence around me.
Dr. Pangloss wrote:
The physical drive to stick my dick in something wet and my desire to be at the top of my professional game are not the same. I would say my sex drive has net, net, been a drag on my ability to produce. There are days I can’t even concentrate for more than 15 minutes without needing to whip up a batch, just to take the edge off so I can get some work done.*

I jerked off halfway through typing this post.

x2

Sometimes the urge is so bad, it’s annoying as hell. It’s not until I get a release that I can focus on other things besides sex. At my age, it’s a nice feeling to still have a libido that strong.

Also, who the fuck feels bad after getting off?? Maybe there’s a bigger issue than just cumming. Just a thought.
Stinkfist wrote:

Yeah, My issue here as well, lol. I don’t understand where the hell this nonsense comes from.

Jerking off, Camel Snus, and sugar free Rooster Booster from Quik Trip used to be my go to for studying. I’ve never taken adderall because of the laser focus I get from this combination.

Pretty sure I’ve never played more 5 knuckle shuffle than when I was studying for the CPA exam, lol.

One thing my parents didn’t fuck up was this. It was never, ever put to me as a bad thing, just something you did in private.

God, I haven’t been able to go ten times in a day since my early 20’s lol.
