Mad Men Extra Casting Call!

The easiest way to win this (which is probably what everyone else did) is to probably set up a voting machine. Anyone want to give it a go?

Aside from the fact that the rules state that anyone using unfair voting methods will be disqualified if discovered , and the fact that others using the same tactic have a significant head start, then I’d say no.

I agree that a lot of other candidates have broken the rules, but it was mentioned earlier that most of these will be disqualified anyway.

We can all vote daily, and although the votes are moving steadily, they aren’t increasing as quickly as in the first 24 hours of this thread being made.

So a lot of naughty people still aren’t logging in and voting every day.

I choose a specific time and log a vote at that time every single day. If everybody did that, it would make a massive difference by Sept. 17th, and be within the rules…

I understand that, but that is still ~8,600 unique votes a day to get near 250,000. Drastic measures of some sort need to be applied.

I had a couple of points, but I don’t think this is the sort of thing we should be discussing on a public forum (for obvious reasons) so the less said about this, the better IMO.

You’re absolutely right. Drastic measures here are e-mailing Molotov’s link to everyone you know and urging them to vote every day right up to the deadline. Cheating is never a substitute for tactics.

Hey Roy, what is the deadline?

I’m glad you asked, ID! Closing dates for votes is the 17th of September.

For those that don’t know, we are allowed to vote once per day, every day until then - yay!

Less than a month then.

Damn.

Have faith. According to the rules, contestants can be disqualified for any number of reasons and aren’t judged on the number of votes alone. From what I can tell, the final decision depends a lot on the artistic qualities of the entrant’s photo’s (originality, period feel, etc.). A lot of the frontrunners look like run-of-the-mill actor’s headshots.

Thanks for that, Roybot!

I now have a very optimist feeling about our girl.

#130 on page 15, dropping down. :frowning:

OK, who are the losers who are not voting?

I put her at 2169 just now.

EDIT: 12 hours later, 2179

Hey Jill, I just realized that even your real name (assuming it is) already sounds like a name a female character might have on that show!

Vote total or (votal) is now at 2672. Seems like the organizers have taken measures against unfair voting practices, too…very good news.

It’s seems to be slowing down. Must be the new security system in place.
