Life is a series of compromises.Nobody gets everything they want, all of the time.

Extremes on either end don’t work. And different sociocultural groups appear to value different sweet spots on the left/right axis.

So there is no one size fits all answer…

I am not separating labor from the free market I am pointing out the influence that the illegal immigration issue and the organized employers are having over an unorganized labor force. If Management were fair, there would be no reason to want a Union.

We’ve changed directions here a bit but I will comment. There is nothing wrong with Unions. There is something wrong with unfair regulation and law that favors unions.

Someone explain to me what is wrong with a secret ballot? Someone explain to me why when a percentage of employees vote for unionization the rest that voted not to are forced to join the union or be releived of their job.

While they render the Unions less effective there are many states that do have an open shop law

This is true but I still get to decide the hows and wherefores as I am the one that ultimately must accept the consequences of the action.

Government cannot take responsibility or hold itself accountable for anything; only individuals can.

Yes.

Wasn’t “Give communism a chance” one of lifticus’ mantras back before he became an anarchist? [/quote]

That was also back when he swore that there were no moral truths - none! - only to now label essentially everything that doesn’t comport with anarchic principles “immoral!”.

What is today? Thursday? I believe Lifticus is a Keynesian Jainist today, and tomorrow he will be a Scientologist with a membership in the Green Party.

Government is a representation of the individual. As an individual, you decide the hows and wherefores by exercising your vote.Or if you feel strongly enough,by participating in government.

If the majority where you reside do not agree with what you believe to be true and right, then you can vote with your feet and move somewhere where the majority is in line with your own vision.

So you see,you really do get to decide.

But not by changing the wishes of those around you.

It is exactly because I respect the wishes of others that I do not like government.

You don’t have to like it.That’s why you are free to move. The rest of the U.S. seems to like it just fine.

Oh please…why would one ever admit to knowing it? Just to be clear, I had to google it.

Wasn’t he the bad guy in that movie?

Your google must be broken.

Mr. Spock was NEVER a bad guy.
