My dad, who is getting up in his years was recently prescribed low dose testosterone gel he uses daily. I haven’t talked to him at all about it but I saw it when I visited my parents last.
From what I understand is lets say your natural T is 800, and then when you go on a cycle you boost it to like 1200, and through the cycle the body will produce less T. Thats why you cycle so that way you don’t just shut your T production off.
Clearly hes got diminished t levels and thats why the Dr gave him that, but does such a thing really boost levels consistently for a long term. Does low dose steroid use not shut down T-production?
Thanks for the reply, right now I am trying to get him to take ZMA to see if that helps instead.

Dude ZMA isn’t really going to do much, if anything for him. There is alot of hype around ZMA’s testosterone boosting abilities abut when it comes down to it, thats all it really is.
Yea, T-boosters will not have nearly the same effect of adding exogenous test to the system. Like Bushy said, TRT is great for guys, and it will make your dad feel like a new man. He may be on it for the rest of his life, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
