here’s my take on what you said … you got something to say about how I look/act/sound/walk/talk/fuck bring it on. If it’s clever enough I’ll probably laugh … if it’s true enough I’ll probably take it into consideration … if it’s just trite and boring I’ll discard it … but as stated earlier not every human should be treated with fuckin kid gloves …

While I personally would never start a thread like that (because that would be just excessively “wrong”), I am all for laughing at some of those comments.
I think we have gone overboard as a society with the “don’t tease anyone” bullshit. That is why fat kids keep getting fatter and why muffin tops are acceptable…they don’t have anyone teasing the fat kids anymore so now its cool to be overweight. It’s normal.
I used to wear huge Urkle glasses in junior high (thanks, mom). I got teased. I also pulled more attention than the guys doing the teasing when the glasses came off and I bought my first set of cheap weights at Target.
Teasing can sometimes have the effect of making you work harder. Protecting everyone from it may sound nice at the start, but in the end, everyone just becomes flaccid and incapable of receiving criticism at all.
