well, enjoy eating meat now. cause within id say 25 years the killing of any animal, for food or not will be illegal. Mark my words. hunting in any form, will be illegal. animal rights groups are getting larger by the day and more powerful. the days of killing animals, will be at an end, someday. its been proven by tons of studies, that meat is extremely unhealthy for you. But the day will come, when meat will no longer be in supermarkets. its only a matter of time.
History
Throughout history, hunting seasons have provided an opportunity at herd management. Specific areas have a carrying capacity, or the maximum number of animals that the area can handle, and hunting seasons help to manage the number of animals in that area.

Significance
Each state is responsible for choosing the number of tags and permits for each hunting season. This helps control the number of animals harvested every year.

Benefits
Most hunting seasons occur in the fall and early winter months. Thinning the herds before winter prevents unnecessary winter kill due to harsh weather and decreased food levels.

Effects
Without hunting seasons, game populations would skyrocket. As more and more animals fight for food sources, disease and starvation would force natural selection to thin the herds.

Potential
Fall hunting seasons allow females to complete gestation periods and successfully birth healthy offspring. This keeps the herd healthy and ensures hunting seasons for future generations

RV can hardly get to grips with the current state of affairs (read - facts) nevermind offer a prophetic vision to be taken seriously.

Are you fucking serious? Do you read ANYTHING with any attention to detail or do you just skim bullshit articles and formulate your opinions from the lingering fluffy memories?

Despite weighing generally up to 110lbs and having a typical height of 4 1/2 feet, adult male chimps are 7 times as strong as adult human males - without the need for weight training. They snap bones like twigs. They rip faces off. They have the physical capacity and fortitude to kill grown men at whim, eat them and then use the corpses femur to rape the panicked mother and daughter.

In short - chimps are fucking badass and you are a goon.

Regardless of the “why?” humans are now responsible for controlling many animal populations. If there were no hunting in Kentucky, the deer population would be utterly out of control and would lead to many, many sick animals. There will never, ever be a ban on hunting, nor should there be.
X1, its the same with wolves, elk, deer, bear in the Northern states, deer and Boar in the southern.

I’m gonna join in on the trolloliol!

Weak-ass motherfuckers…

Seeing as my goals aren’t as lofty as most here, I would certainly never advise a near vegetarian diet but I will say that I feel it would be beneficial to eliminate meat when other options are available. At least for a trial period of a month or so to see how the body reacts, I can guarantee you will be pleasantly surprised.
We are omnivores. The healthiest natural diet includes meat.
gorillas are the closest gene wise to us, yet they don’t eat meat at all. and they are among the most muscular strongest creatures on the planet. (on land)
Gorillas’ bodies manufacture all the necessary amino acids. Ours do not. Vegetables are LOW on the bio-availability of their proteins, and incomplete amino acid profiles don’t help either.
For RogueVamp, who is still claiming that since gorillas “don’t eat meat at all. and they are among the most muscular strongest creatures on the planet. (on land)” I refer back to page 1 where ID was nice enough to point out that they “gorillas” are genetically different in the fact that they manufacture all the necessary amino acids, and ours do not. We can not eat like gorillas and expect the same results.

I hope for the 280+ lb RogueVampire that this is the case

The human digestive tract is no near 20 times the length of our body more like 5, we also do have sharp canine teeth so wtf are you promoting?

Read “The Vegetarian Myth” and stop all this meatless nonsense… especially all the ridiculous arguments vegans use in their lame defense.
Agreed.
The book is written by a psycho nutcase (what do you expect from someone who was vegan for 20 years) but does show that vegitarians and especially vegans are really just fooling themselves.

I respect vegans if their lifestyle choice is out of ethical concern for the well-being of animals. Not saying I agree with it, but I respect it. Having worked in high school at a pork slaughterhouse I am of the opinion that pigs DO suffer prior to and during slaughter.

I can buy this a bit but as you look at the next vegetable you eat ask yourself the following:

When the farmer plowed the field that it grew in, do you think the mice suffered as they died?
When the forest was cut down for that field, do you think the animals who lost their home suffered when they died?
When the prey animals all died due to lack of habitat, do you think the carnivorous animals who then starved suffered?
Do you think the bugs suffered when the farmer sprayed herbicides on their fields?
Do you think the dead animals that make up the fertilizer the farmer used suffered when they died?

The simple truth is that no matter what you eat, a lot of things had to die.
