Lifting Belt Comparison

I apologize if this has been done, but I did search posts and didn’t find exactly what I was looking for. I did see you all like the Inzer forever or the economy belts best. But I did find a Veleo brand 6" belt that seemed to be a good quality. this is for my husband, and I am in need of advice.

Here is the link to the belt I am looking at:

Is this just a piece of shit, or worth try since we’re on a budget???

if your husband competes in powerlifting, he wouldn’t be able to use that belt in most (all?) federations because the width is not uniform all the way around. The standard belt sizes that i’m pretty sure the majority of federations use is a 4 in. wide belt (all the way around) with a 10-13mm thickness.

I personally ordered a 1 prong belt from APT powerlifting gear and really enjoy it, but I will also be investing in a inzer forever belt this christmas because of the great reviews that it has gotten (and because my old belt has about lived out its life span). As you said you found, the economy belt is highly praised as well. I would go with that belt before the one you have chosen thus far. Good luck in your search

Thank you for your advice. He is not in competition at this point, but lifts heavy for workouts ect…Now that his weights are getting higher he is seeing the need for a belt. We have been avid lifters for almost a year now, but I dont use one and dont know where to begin! LOL. Anywho…I may go with the Inzer for its quality and good reviews. I did see the single prong one, but was worried about the strength of it…have you had any issues???

I do compete in PL and use an Inzer (10mm) Forever belt, single prong. It is more than strong enough. I’ve used the double prong and they can be hard to adjust and get both prongs in. I would advise against the tapered bodybuilding type belts. I used one for years when I didn’t know how to use a belt. Being tapered it does not provide the appropriate support when used properly.

Great good to know! I just ordered one. Thanks for the advice guys!!! Much appreciated!!!

I’m 6’1, 255, I use a 10mm Inzer Forever Lever Belt.

I love the lever feature, especially since I am usually training alone.

Ok, now I need to know how to delete this thread so my husband doesnt see it!!! HELP!!!
