Liberty in Socialism?

Sorry chum, you’ve already demonstrated quite satisfactorily that you are unable to have a serious discussion about this matter, as your emotions and your programming always get the better of you. If you’re really interested, there’s quite a lot of reading you could, and should, do. First though, you’ll have to deprogram yourself, and learn to be honest.

So, that was a no? OK, well, when you find a good argument, come on back.

Sorry, But on my very best day I could not come up with a single argument for the superiority of socialism. That sad task awaits your skills.

So here I sit and ponder
What may come a yonder
from the mighty mind of Ryan
cuz it will take some tryin . . .

Oh I’m not talking about that. You don’t need to make my argument for me. You can’t even hold your own together.

But I guess, in your strange world, being unable to defend your argument means you win. Like I thought, you continue to rationalize to stay comfortable. Whatever, so long as we don’t have to pretend to take you seriously.

I’m indeed pleased that my intransigence in the face of your verbose obfuscation does not result in a tangible expression of gravitas within your intellectual perspicacity regarding your pretentious loquaciousness in such a manner as to render ineffective your garrolous chicanery in resolute defense of your chosen vacous bureaucratic politic.

so, where’s that fascinating argument of yours?

"Americans, I have some bad news for you:

You have the worst quality of life in the developed world â?? by a wide margin.

If you had any idea of how people really lived in Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and many parts of Asia, youâ??d be rioting in the streets calling for a better life. In fact, the average Australian or Singaporean taxi driver has a much better standard of living than the typical American white-collar worker.

I know this because I am an American, and I escaped from the prison you call home."

hmmm , nah I’m good. You can have Europe . . .

All over the last approximately three pages. You ignored it. Now would be a fine time to actually address something I wrote, instead of just pretending you have a point.

I am going to put it very simple.

freedom in socialisme = freedom from exploitation. This meens that you dont have the right to the fruits of others labor, in other words: you dont have the freedom to get rich on the expens of others. Now I know some here will say that “but doesnt the individual worker get exploited by the collective”.

well maybe in some abstract sence, but in a modern society with industry, people work in groups. there are non car factorys with only one worker. So to be clear, when I say exploitation I dont meen that the car factory worker doesnt get grain from the agrarian worker and vice verca, I meen that there are no person or group of people who takes out a profit from the labor of the car factory worker and the agrarian worker.

Now if the factorys/workplaces should be owned by the community/country etc or if it should be owned in common by the workers on the individual workplace is a decision the people must make in the socialist society.

btw: people does also have freedoms like: freedom of speech, of organisation and of tought.
No one would actually work. It also sounds very effeminate

Although written to scare women, yes, the future does not look pretty. Much of the running into the ground was itself driven by the policies of unreality the author seems likely to favor.

Trenchant criticism. I don’t think florelius will be able to respond.

In all seriousness, thanks for demonstrating how utterly bereft of ideas the right is.

True, they cannot be enforced but imagine what happens when word gets out about such a “dishonorable” person. That is the market at work.
I know. Just didn’t want you to go radical and turn into a contractionist (just made that up).

America is not perfect, but I got my land and I’ll just keep fighting the good fight and keep the faith. All these things he was talking about are voluntary things that one does not have to fall into. My answer is, “What is personal accountability, Alex?”

LMAO - if you think the last three pages of this thread provide any coherent argument for socialism, then you are worse off then I thought . . . or maybe that is as coherent as you can be . . . that’s sad . . .

and then there’s this . . .

poor Ryan . . . facts just keep getting in your way . . . but feel free to ignore them

I’ll stay out of the greater argument, but that article cites data starting in 1998, long after Capitalism found Russia, also right before the beginning of the .Com bubble and Russian crude expansion projects. Coupled with the fact alot of stats like that are manipulated by Putin/Medvedev for purposes of circlejerking themselves over their “legacy.”

Good day sir.

Not for socialism, but again, I’ve popped your bubble about 10 different ways, and you’ve been utterly discredited. I’m referring to the fact that you have not responded to most of my points, and thus I assume that you have no answer for them.

I’ve addressed everything you’ve written (if I’ve missed something, please point it out), whereas you continue to ignore the documented facts I’ve provided you. You are why conservatives have the reputation of being so painfully stupid.

Still waiting for that awesome argument for socialism . . .
