1 more time, Canada has had the War Measures Act which is tougher than the Patriot Act II for about 30-35 yrs. It was passed during peacetime by the Trudeau government to take care of the October Crisis where the FLQ (like the IRA) was bombing. Trudeau basically invoked martial law & it was over in ~10 days or so. So the Patriot Act is no big deal. Oh wait, I forgot our leaders trust the people & doesn’t everyone of being a criminal.
