Hey guys. Went to the Lenny Kravitz show this Friday at Jones Beach. Pink opened. Awful! It poured from 30 minutes before the show, till the last song. Pink sat down on a stool for most of her songs, and was as energetic as a turtle. Lenny Kravitz came out and shot out 12 songs I didn’t know- except Dig In, and judging by crowd reaction, you had to be a hardcore fan with all the albums to really enjoy it. Then he strung off about 5 known songs- American Woman, Fly Away,something else, again, and are you gonna go my way.
He played great. Too much unknown stuff. Too much filler solos. Great show if cut in half and played in a 1000 seat venue.
Im not much of a Kravitz fan but I was at Jones Beach last week for Rush. My friend and I are from Philly and it took us about 3 and a half hours to get there. The Hilfiger blows away The Tweeter Center in Camden, NJ! I must say that Jones Beach is beautiful! Rush was fantastic one of the best concerts I have ever seen the only dissappointing thing was the sound was wavy due to the breeze off the bay and our seat location. You guys have a great place up there.
That sucks!! I have tickets for Kravitz in aug. at fiddler’s green in colorado. I really don’t care about pink, but i am a big Kravitz fan. hopefully he’ll have a better show lined up for us here!!! i would be content with are you gonna go my way, heaven help, sugar, live, i belong to you, american woman, euletheria.
