Nepotism is alive and well in football.
That Marty Schottenheimer’s son and his oldschool, unimaginative playcalling is still going strong is unconscionable.
If I had to guess, his dad pulled some strings, or owed someone a favor.
We had a USC football reunion with the guys on my team a couple years back, and the consensus was that Kiffin was put in to be a fall guy for the sanction years. There was no other viable reason as to why he was hired.
Kiffin is such a sleazebag. How this guy got so far having accomplished so little is beyond me. He doesn’t need to work. I’m sure he has a nice severence.
