Im not sure about Couture - Rodriguez, i’d lean towards randy cus of experience, though ricco is pretty good, i think he’s the only american member of sakarabas gym in japan, plus hes trained with loads of other top people so i reckon it will be close. Im going to put it on the line and go with Randy, i don’t think hes done yet.
Man, if the UFC matches Ken Shamrock with Tito Ortiz, they may as well match Royce Gracie with a Mack truck. Ortiz could hold his own at UFC 15, long after Glamrock disappeared. Tito trains almost 60 hours a week. He came back after getting hit with a bus (no joke. he was riding a moped, so he sort of asked for it). Ken is now a pro wrestler. I’d still rather see Vitor Belfort fight Tito Ortiz.
I’m pulling for Randy as well. I’m not sure about Ricco’s experience against top flight opponents. He certainly has the pedrigree (ADCC etc) but Randy always comes out ready and has proven himself in a few wars.
Belfort won’t be getting a shot at Tito even though IMO he did quite well against Lidell. I think the next event we see Belfort in will be a Pride or UFO - he wants big $$ and isn’t willing to fight anyone but a name and I can’t see Zuffa bowing in on his demands.
