Just Started TRT, Up and Down

Doctors are the biggest problem in TRT and most need to find a new doctor and that is not easy. Many doctors will not do TRT and most that do TRT do it horribly wrong. You need to study up in self-defense. You simply cannot be passive and need to take some responsibility for these aspects of your health.

There can be strong effects when starting TRT that are not related to how many times per week you inject. However your 200mg per week will create high E2 levels from T–>E2 aromatization. Injected 200 once per week create very high T levels and thus more T–>E2. As your T then drops and E2 increases you feel benefits slipping away.

TRT increases/restores some metabolic demands that can make one feel worse if adrenals or thyroid function are weak. Below, see where you can eval thyroid function via oral body temperatures. This can be more useful than thyroid lab results and then perhaps thyroid labs are not needed if body temps are good.

Many?most here are injecting subq in belly or over upper legs with #29 1/2" 0.5ml insulin syringes. That provides smoother T release which then works better with anastrozole to mange E2 near E2=22pg/ml - optimal for most.

Evaluate your overall thyroid function by checking oral body temperatures as per the thyroid basics sticky. Thyroid hormone fT3 is what gets the job done and it regulates mitochondrial activity, the source of ATP which is the universal currency of cellular energy. This is part of the body’s temperature control loop. This can get messed up if you are iodine deficient. In many countries, you need to be using iodized salt. Other countries add iodine to dairy or bread.

I can be a bit abrupt in my replies and recommendations. I have a lot of ground to cover as this forum has become much more active in the last two years. I can’t follow threads that go deep over time. You need to respond to all of my points and requests as soon as possible before you fall off of my radar. The worse problems are guys who ignore issues re thyroid, body temperatures, history of iodized salt. Please do not piss people off saying that lab results are normal, we need lab number and ranges.

The value that you get out of this process and forum depends on your effort and performance. The bulk of your learning is reading/studying the suggested stickies.
