Just Started 100mg Cyp - Need Guidance and Reassurance

I like to elevate my arm when I take blood pressure. I believe it suppose to be close to heart level.

I take it at my desk so I stack some books and lay my arm on them.

And your blood pressure is still optimal. This good be your new norm

You were pretty low. I think you’ll feel better with increased endurance with the higher crit and RBCs.

Not sure about this position but now reading most sites say sitting so not sure. I was always told sitting up in bed with legs flat and arm being monitored slightly elevated like on a folded pillow. You need your body fully relaxed. I will shut my eyes and breathe quietly for 60-120 seconds and at that moment I turn the machine on and find a mental zone of clarity and maintain my breathing. I almost never use the first reading as it is always slightly inflated. The 2nd or 3rd readings are generally better as my body becomes more relaxed. Perhaps a bit more sitting quietly in the beginning would suffice for me as well. Just keep the breathing slow and deep and purposeful to relaxation. Try that and see if it shows better. That being said some home cuffs are horribly inaccurate and if you are switching your monitoring protocol (from doc to home) then varying numbers might be expected.

Thanks I started doing the same and it kept dropping. Wasn’t sure if this was right or wrong. Glad you said it.

How is it that the nurse can sit me in a chair in 60° freezing my ass off and get a low

Thanks I have not rode my bike in a couple weeks but when I did the BP was always lower.

Mine always comes up much lower when arm being tested is at heart level. If I rest arm low it is very high. The closer I get to heart the lower it gets.
What a PITA

That BP is fine, mine increased as well. As long as your HCT is in the 40’s I wouldn’t worry.

Yah hct is good considering my dose. I would like to be close to 50 though. Will help a ton with my endurance on the bike. Believe that’s why they do epo to increase oxygen in blood. RBC:HCT and etc

I am glad I asked about this because I had no clue what to think. Sounds like I’m healthy and good to go. Peace of mind.

It has been 6 months since I started TRT. Abiut 2 months ago I started going to the gym 4-5 days a week. I have been eating more and more but still not enough.

I would say about 2-3 months ago my TRT benefits started to kick in. Before that I was just miserable.

I went from being able i barely curl 20lb DB x 5 to 35 x 5, chest. This week I’m 85lbs DB x 5 and back same deal. This is where I left off 5 years ago but my max was 90 x 2 after a few years of trying. 2 months of consistency I was able to achieve a similar state.

So yes TRT helps a ton. I am not eating perfectly clean or anything. I just eat less calories but enough protein post work

Before and 60 ish day update below. I’m going to stay on top of my body comp changes and keep posting them to keep myself motivated.

Pre weight was 170s BF 19%
Today’s weight is 190 BF 13%

Yes I can’t either. Probably no more belly fat.

More than anything it feels good going to the gym and being healthy again.

That’s insane. You’ve put on 20 lbs and dropped 6% BF?!

Yes it is. I gained 20lbs easily becuause I came from years of cycling. Long hard rides and training on the bike. Endurance athlete. So no upper body muscle. I simply put in the muscle my body naturally would want.

Some is probably water weight becusse I was 195-198 a couple weeks ago.

Milk those newbie gains! Training your upper body for the first time plus introducing exogenous T is a formula for massive improvements. Make the most of them with nutrition!

Looking lean and mean! I lost several pounds a couple months ago but water weight continues to plague me and make me look softer than than I’d like. I used to have zero problems looking lean like 5 years ago, hormone issues seems to have changed that. Hopefully with time my protocol with lean me out like your’s has!

You look good man!

Thanks JP

Yes water weight . I have the same issue this was taken after I got done at the gym. It seems to be less of an issues compared to when I first started.

Best thing to do is eat just enough carbs before and after lifting. During the day I try to stay away from to many and that tends to keep the bloat away.

You’ll get there. I don’t think water fluff is
Something that will stick around after year 1.
