One of the greatest shows I have ever seen. I have literally never laughed aloud so much watching anything else. Although not the brightest bunch, they were entertaining to watch. I don’t understand why everyone hates on these guys. Their goal is to enjoy their youth, and they’re sure as hell doing a good job. Props to them.
X2 I think most people that hate on the show are people that never went out and knew what it was to hit on endless amounts of women till you got a bite, brought them back to find out one of the friends was a dud and trying to have your friends entertain her until you can smash. Then again I have family near the Jersey shore and right now I live in Virginia Beach so shit like that is nearly the norm as I visit there often in the summer and it’s just nuts!
The winter’s are cold and once summer comes around all hell breaks loose and you truly are just lookin’ to hook up. Then if you actually do get something worthwhile than you hold onto it like Sammie and Ronnie’s relationship.
I can’t hate on anyone on that show because anyone trying to have fun as a kid is going to do the same shit. People hate on the tanning, clothes, gym but seriously it’s like nature you aren’t going to go home with the hottest piece of ass unless you dress to impress, and today’s day and age being tan is associated with people that are successful. The personality seals the deal but you don’t get a chance to talk in the first place unless you have all the checks in the box. Maybe it’s an east coast thing but nearly everyone that is trying to hook up plays the game by taking care of themselves like that.
In addition at the house most of the cast wore pretty normal clothes, most of the guys were just wearing regular tank tops and shorts, it wasn’t till they were getting ready to hit the club or go out when the name brand shit got put on. So I would rate anyone on the cast just like any of us as being down to earth with the exception of Mike “the situation” but he got so many girls to come back to the house, you are simply a hater if you don’t enjoy watching his antics on the show.
exactly, while these people were not what the run of the mill american can relate to, and I personally would not present myself that way, they seemed like normal people. Normal as in do dumb shit and try to bone sluts. Grenade is not a jersey shore lingo term, i heard that shit all through college. Theyre having fun and i was entertained, though I dont watch tv or reality shows usually.
I actually worked with the situation as a Trainer at Ballys in East Brunswick, we werent friends or anything but some of my friends were friends with him, we went out one time a whole bunch of us at this club in AC called the Pool (anyone from Jersey or NYC knows about it) and he was pretty cool but he did have his shirt off at the club…truth be told most there was alot of wacked out “guidos” with their shirts off. DJ Boris was spinning (i have know idea who he was im not into house) and the girls were fuckin amaazing. For whatever reason hot bitches love these kind of dudes. but all in all like I said in another post Im from Staten Island and have hung out on the shore plenty of times when I was younger and sure there are dicks and wannabe tough guys with their affliction shirts on but for the most part most people just wanna have a good time.
You take any 6 types of young people…and youll get the same stuff drinking, fighting, hooking up and straight up hillarity…just a great show…the only one that really annoyed me was Sammi…she was a douche.

They will def have sum sort of spin off with some of the peeps from JS1 and a JS2 with all new kids. Show was straight comedy. “Beat the beat up!”
They get alot of heat from all angles. Seems to me they are just doing what they like to do. Doesnt seem to affect the people who bring all of the negativity toward them. Hi haters!
I have to agree, I mean we can make them out to be douchebags because of the way they dress and how they dance, but they genuinely came off as nice down to earth people (except Mike of course). There are three shows I watch on TV, this, Boondocks and Kenny Vs Spenny. I am truly sad to see this show go, heres to season 2!!
Kenny v. Spenny is still on?! I loved that show.
Do you think house rentals are going to go up at the Seaside due to this show? Perhaps a Seaside Heights gentrification of sorts…
Fuck yeah its still on! Go to showcase and catch up on all the shows you missed, I have to say that this season has been awesome. As for the seaside rentals, I thought they were somewhere closer to downtown Toronto. Me and my friends were legit thinking of going down there and crashing one of the shows.
I just hope they don’t cast old people in season 2. Mike and Paulie were 27-28. That’s just too old for me to find that stuff humorous.
I am addicted to this show. Can’t wait to buy the Uncensored Jersey Shore Season 1 DVD…I can’t even imagine what crazy shit didn’t make it to TV.

this. damn you.
I’ve partied up and down the east coast and I must say, guido chicks are fun, easy and eager to please… I normally don’t watch reality TV, but I got sucked into this one toward the end.
at least they were hitting the gym
I went to a date party last night for OU Cheer/Pom that was supposedly Jersey Shore themed. I went with my neighbor, who while I was getting ready knocked on my door and asked to borrow my blow dryer so he could do his hair all “guido’d out” as he put it lol.
I’ve stayed away from the show, wasn’t really interested in watching it…but last night guys had “The Situation” and “The Position” written on their arms and then proceeded to fist pump and yell “shot shot shot shot-shot shot”…so I think I get the gist of the show lol.

There must have been at least 20 different Jersey Shore-themed parties in Austin this past weekend. Crazy how a show can become a cultural phenomenon so quickly.
