1st session == shit-tastic.

squat 3x5
single leg press 1x8
bicep curl 1x55

Called it. Didn’t even have energy to take the weights off the leg press. I feel like warmed over crap. Not enough food yesterday even though I’m up in weight… I may already be seeing overreaching. hard to tell whether it’s that or food intake. I’m assuming food intake for now, if I feel like crap tomorrow, I’ll know somethings up.

Will be changing the 1st session tomorrow-- push press is notoriously hard on my bicep/elbow tendonitis, so I am dropping it in preparation for my climbing trip this weekend.

I’m not sure what I’ll replace it with. Might be just a crap load of lateral raises, since I’ve already got seated db press in there (much easier on my elbows).

On another note, now just under 2.5 weeks in, I’m still not feeling any libido increase. I’m feeling tired all the time, which I attribute to my training schedule, but I don’t really have any libido… not that it’s non-existent, but really it kind of has me mildly concerned. I should by all accounts be a raging sex addict as far as the libido goes on test. Or at least have noticeably increased sex drive. I don’t.

There are no other problems though, so I don’t have any worries on that front. Besides, I’m wondering if this might not be a blessing in disguise, as I actually do have to go out in public and focus on things other than bouncy boobs. Regardless, I would kind of like to know what’s happening with it.

Ok, here’s something else I’ve been noticing–when I get a suppressed appetite (like I currently have), the only things I seem to find attractive to eat are the bad food choices.

Let me give you an example. Right now, I’m absolutely stuffed. At 7:15 I had 2 pork chops and mixed nuts. It’s time to eat again, and I don’t even want to get out of this chair, let alone eat more turkey/pork chops/steak. It actually makes me a bit uneasy thinking about it. Which is bizarre, since I love those things. A lot. Especially steak. And I’m not sick.

On the other hand, I’m all over a pizza, a cinnamon roll, or ice cream. That’s just weird. I’m not even remotely hungry (far from it), but I could go for a pizza or a cinnamon roll. Never mind the fact that it’s nutritionally void.

Anyone else know what I’m talking about or am I just a weirdo?

Nope. I was the same damn way last cycle, and I was training for a show, so that was really no fun. I cheated quite a bit more than I should have for just the reason that you state, and normally I have no problem staying away from that kind of food and just sticking to the clean stuff.

That sucks. Yeah, that’s pretty much the way I feel. Although, I have noticed in the last year or so I’ve had a lot more problems sticking to a “normal” repetitive spartan diet such as I’ve had for years in the past.

As much as I intended this cycle to be a very lean muscle cycle, it’s turning into all-out mass. Well, not really, but I haven’t been doing my cardio/hiking. I’m just too tired and I can never seem to eat enough. I imagine I’ll be putting on some fat, although my diet hasn’t been terrible by any stretch. Well, til today :). But I got my calories in and my protein so that’s what I’m mostly worried about.

1st session:

seated db shoulder press work up to 7 RM (6x5, 1x7)
db 1 arm row 4x8
lateral raise 3x8, 1x6
seated cable row 4x8
muscle round shoulders 1x8/8/8, 2x8/8
lat pulldown/pullovers 2x8/8

I’m hurting pretty bad. I am definitely in overreaching right now. Next week will be a good break.
