No where did he state that he hated Jesus. He simply compared himself to Jesus because he thought he was persecuted like Jesus was. If anything it sounds like he had a Christian background. He simply was a deranged kid just like the Columbine shooters.

Your forgetting that Muslims hold Jesus in high regard. The Muslim term “infidel” refers to aethists, not Christians or Jews. Muslims believe that Christianity and Judaism are valid religions.[/quote]

Very few moderate Muslims believe the way you are saying. The truth is we don’t know yet about his religon. He also said that those who follow Jesus are weak. Muslims believe the Prophet M. came to correct the Jew and the Christian. The Koran states the nonbeliever in the teachings of the prophet M. is to convert or die. Why don’t you go to the Middle East and see for yourself like I did. Did the hijackers believe Christians and Jews are valid or were they just targeting the infedel atheists? Are the Palestinians peace loving people? When the Arab world danced in the streets on 911 and burned our flag were they celebrating atheists dying? Do they not go by what the Koran tells them to do anymore when did this change?

SURA 4.56: (As for) those who disbelieve in Our communications, We shall make them enter fire; so oft as their skins are thoroughly burned, We will change them for other skins, that they may taste the chastisement; surely Allah is Mighty, Wise
5.51: O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.
4.89 : They desire that you should disbelieve as they have disbelieved, so that you might be (all) alike; therefore take not from among them friends until they fly (their homes) in Allah’s way; but if they turn back, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them, and take not from among them a friend or a helper.
8.12: When your Lord revealed to the angels: I am with you, therefore make firm those who believe. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them.

A buddy of mine married a Persian (Iranian) girl and he’s been to Iran twice. His wife and her family are muslim. In Iran the muslims consider Christians and Jews as their equals. Same thing in the SE Asian countries of Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.

Do you happen to be an evangelical Christian?

Yes, I am. So the president of Iran should consider Jews as equal, if what you are saying is true. What does the Koran say? Iran does have a strong moderate muslim community that is tolerant to Christians and Jews, I agree with you, so do some other Muslim nations.

You must also remember that the death to Isreal and death to America chanting in the streets at dinner time. The MAJORITY of the middle east is anti-Isreal and anti- American, you can downplay it all you want, but this is the truth. You can blame it on us, Isreal, them or the pope, I don’t care, the fact is they hate us.

Let’s imagine for one moment that you are right.

What would it prove ?

Watch the videos Cho sent to NBC or read the plays he wrote for one of his classes and you will conclude that he was delusional AND not very bright.

In that light, his being Muslim, Christian, atheist or whatever is secondary to the real problem at hand. This guy was sick.

To me, it sounds like you’re Islamophobic and just looking for excuses…

You have to understand the original poster just admitted that he is an evangelical Christian. Part of their belief system is to demonize Muslims.

As a Catholic I find evangelical Christians to be:

A) following a sick, thwarted theology in which they cheer for the uprooting of Palestinian Christians in the West Bank

B) Incredibly ignorant of other religions/belief systems

C) Big hypocrites. They claim to be Christian yet clamor for war and oppose peace plans. They continually confess their beleif in Jesus yet look down on the poor and oppose social programs to help the defenseless and under-privileged.

A sick form of Christianity indeed.
