OK… this is all news to me… so a 1/2" 27g to the quad is acceptable for oil based products? Will this be possible using a standard 3cc syringe? Would you use the same setup at the dorsogluteal site? Delts? I’ve used this setup into the delts before but only with waterbased products.
I think you’ll find with such a small gauge needle (27G) on a 3ml syringe it will be very difficult to squeeze the oil out. It is the additional pressure generated by the smaller diameter of the slin pin that makes this work quite well with a 29G slin pin.

exactly, i have found the 1/2cc insulin pins backloaded work the best teh barrel diameter is so small that the pressure applied to the plunger creates quite a high PSI allowing much faster flow, of course this can be a hassle if you are trying to shoot 6cc’s. but works great for small frequent dosing patterns
I dont know man…
I asked my “guy” and he said ill die… something about cellulitis…
but from all the web sites I see “Cellulitis is a skin infection caused by bacteria.”
SO it sounds like it has nothing to do with the gear but about being clean on the injection site and instruments.
Can gear it self cause Cellulitis?
Morepain, Just as BBB found an another site, most people don’t like change and get stuck in their groove. Some people don’t want to try new stuff. Although I agree My “guy” isn’t open minded about trying something new. but isn’t that the reason I (and everyone else should) educated myself so I can tell him what I want/need? The fact you think I should find another guy is ridiculous. He isn’t the one telling me what to do, I am telling him what I want. I merely wrote what he told me to reiterate a point seen by BBB and other about ideas that are not main stream and the resistance you may find.
As for Bill, BBB and Brook, I have been watching this site for over three years now learning and waiting until my first cycle. In the beginning I would always check up on what I read but have always found those three in particular to be on the money so Yes I would trust them over anyone else.

it was kind of a “tongue in cheek” sort of thing man, just amazes me at how people get stuck in a rut like you said with no basis on fact…Bill and I have been around forever, while Brook and BBB are both very sharp they will both agree (i would assume) that i was ddoing this crap long before they ever saw their first bottle of test my friend.
Morepain,
I meant no disrespect . I mean, unless your brewing your own, a source is hard to find. Even after I knew what/how much I wanted, it took me about 4 months to find a source local. Unfortunatnly I have no plan B for him.
Sorry I got uppity…
i think it only happens when my employees are giving me grief…then i vent becuase i’m just pissed in general…most of the time i just prefer to stay out of it, the fact is regardless of where we are we all started out as ignorant newbies so i try to remember that and keep it educational and not condescending whenever possible.
So, despite several knowledgeable and experienced people telling you that the use of insulin monojects is fine in both theory and practice, you still choose to wobble, based on the word of ‘your guy’?
Dinnae be wasting oor time noo sonny
BBB
EDIT: Morpain laying down the law again? Good. He’s taken over from prisoner as the ‘bullshit patrol’. I like it, since I rarely have the kind of bullishness needed to pull it off, haha

No Wobble, just thought it was funny, another one saying it cant be done as your UK buddies…
I am starting to believe ignorance loves company

OK: FYI: I just did a little experiment:
1/2cc TA in 3cc Barrel w. 1/2 in luer lock 27g pin, into right quad.
Result: no problems, just required a little extra pressure and a little more time, but that’s fine as I probably inj. too fast anyway.
SOOOO much better than the 1" 23g I have used into the quad in the past.[/quote]
If you use a 50iu insulin syringe, the small plunger will create much higher pressures than the 3cc syringe and that reduces injection time. The smaller the capacity the better. Least cost too. With a .5ml syringe vs 3ml, I would expect that the pressures are 6 times higher for a given plunger force.
With insulin syringes, #27 0.5"[12mm] 0.5ml may not be an option. You may need to use #29.
I have started many guys on insulin syringes for TRT. The problem for many is that they have shaky hands and with the extended injection times the end of the needle is moving around and cutting muscle fibers. That can be a pain point, increasing injection anxiety and making shaking worse. That also creates muscle pain afterwards. I advise that they should inject with their dominant hand and once the needle is inserted, that they grasp the end of the syringe with the thumb and index finger of the other hand and let the body of that hand rest firmly on their leg to keep things steady. This steadies the injecting hand as both hands are now on the syringe and held steady to the leg.
By doing the above, the process is much more relaxed and injection anxiety is reduced; which also calms a shaky hand.
I do the above and have also tried injecting biceps. There is no way to steady the syringe.
I have tried SC injections and they work well for some. For me, I often get a hard persistent lump with SC’s that is way bigger than my .25ml EOD injections. My body does not like SC injections. I guess its not a good option for all. I use test cyp. Perhaps the different oil in test eth would have a different result.
As a reference, my hCG SC injections do not create any problems.
KS: Understood. I just had that setup physically with me already. I’m thinking though that this is nice because I don’t have to worry about sanitary issues backloading etc, and the 3cc barrels are more versatile, in that I can attach longer pins to them when doing glutes. I haven’t figured out the VG spot yet, but since I have 6 sites to rotate that I’m comfortable with now, no rush.
I think an ideal size would be a 2cc barrel, as I would probably go to multiple sites if doing any larger volume, and would allow more psi than the 3cc.
I do like the tip about stabilizing the pin while depressing the plunger. I feel like I’ve got some “wobble” going on and also some in-and-out. Nothing crazy, but enough to make me wonder how much additional trauma I am inflicting.

i used to inject up to 3 cc at a time using 1/2cc insulin pins…just back fill 6 of them. There is another advantage that i can not prove but would bet my life on. The much smaller oil deposit absorbs more efficiently than a larger single deposit. it seems a little odd at first but i would often inject three 1/2cc locations in the right quad region and three more in the left. like i said nothing i can prove other than just my years of experimenting with stuff and finding what worked best for me.
