in support of the usa bashers

In regards to the overall topic, (if there is one really), America has it’s shares of problems. One such problem is that it has become soft and complacent since the end of Vietnam. Americans had become so disenfrancised (sp) with the government since the Tet Offensive that the pendulum swung in the other direction. Rather than being stern, hard, and proud, people with half an IQ point decided it would be best to try other options, don’t spank kids, alternative discipline, cancel the draft, other such nonsense. You have these people that are afraid of hard work and giving of yourself for the country, that they put all their effort in to raising kids with these half ass morals, no physical punishment, and you get a weak society. I know. Growing up, all my mother’s friends were either Vietnam Vets who got screwed when they came back or flower power folks who hated the government and the military for no other reason than it was fashionable at the time. I also grew up in a foster home of people who had higher education and a disdain for the military and did not physically punish their kids. While they were a good family, the kids were spoiled, walked all over the parents, and did as they pleased. Then you have these so called liberals telling everyone how to live, what’s good for certain groups, and trying to homogenize the country. It’s all slick talk and political power moves that is fucking up the government. I really wished we had more senators like John McCain, who don’t bullshit and get straight to the point. However, since the whole disenfranchised public does not want to step up, we have to deal with weak representatives who are more concerned with their own rise to the top rather than the american people. I apologize, but kids should fear their parents and teachers. There should be spankings (but not beatings mind you), PC should be shot in it’s head, there should be a draft. Fuck the terrorist acts right now, kids killing kids on a regular basis, Kids not stepping up, people growing up to be all about themselves, people having programs taken away so politicians can save their rich constituents money, all this bullshit, while not entirely new, has gotten out of hand. For those that want to leave the country, well, everyone should get out and see the world. I don’t think that Patricia was saying she’d leave cause of problems with the US. Lots of Americans live abroad. See the world, get a whole new perspective on things, and then bring those things back to the States and strengthen it. To those just being dicks on the forum, your not hard core Americans, you’re just dicks shouting at people eletronically. And by the way, does anyone know if this is a real article? It looks kinda suspicious?

To Patricia- I apologize for misconstruing your original post. Taking from context in the orginial post(Jurgen) and then adding that you are envious of Cruise, well,…do you see where this misinterputation might have happened? I do agree that people should see the world and open themselves to different cultures and new experiences. I would love to see Europe, Asia, Australia, Brazil, etc…but, alas I’m a poor mofo and this will likely take some time. It just came across as you would like to raise kids in a different country and that usually takes a while, oh say, 20 years or so. You guys(Pat&KO) have always been helpful and polite so, please don’t take what I said in a personal manner. I just get uptight when people shit on the Country that so many people died for, and many people do. You however, did not. So, please accept my apology. To Gearhead- Again you show you idiocracy, illtolerence, immaturity, and racism. My hypocracy extends only so far, yours sir, knows no bounds. I hope your proud of yourself, its idiots like you that make people hate us. James

Yo James. Is that you boy? Is this the James who thought he had knocked up the town WHORE when it really was Dre who planted his seed into that cavernous canyon of stink and misuse? I hope you ain’t eating that boy. Jeez, you might as well be blowing Dre and swallowing it. Brahahahaha. Fondly, Gearhead.

I love this country, have studies the intimate details of its history, and am very proud to call myself an American. Moreover, I refuse to be an “American Apologist”.

However Gearhead, patriotism, while often a good thing, should never be used as an excuse to act like an asshole. You were probably the exact type of kid that char-dawg mentioned, and a poor reflection on the country that I call home. Shame on you.

These are all interesting opinions, and like a certain part of our anatomy everybody has one, except in this case some has bigger anatomy parts than others. No one has to like our government,or even agree with it but you can work to change any law you don’t like and you can even disagree with others in this great nation so long as you don’t infringe on their rights. But at some point, you must have a love for this Country, it’s Land, it’s Diverse Peoples, and it’s Constitution or the American way of life will not work. Wars and or conflicts are terrible and if we never have another war or conflict where our way of life is threatend that would be wonderful. But our history has proven that that this is not always the case and history does repeats itself. Patriotism helps keep us ready for any crisis this nation may face whether its war, terrorism, or morale decline. There is nothing that America can’t accomplish if WE all work together with a unity based on love of country. Patriotism is the glue that holds us together as Americans and as a Nation. Just my centavos… Live Long, Healthy and Happy.

Patricia

As for Tom C. he’s a fagot anyways let that non-acting fagot leave. I don’t watch his movies anyways. Fucking pussy!
That’s all I got to say about that!!

of all the rediculous things i’ve read here i am suprised that sooo many people nuranis included, still think this country was founded by christians. Well it WAS NOT. a handful of christians and quakers may have been involved but most of the big players that founded this place were diests. IMO christians would have incoroporated too much religous bias into the constitution which would have had a negative affect on our gov today.

Demo, I thought you were going to make Gearloose disappear?

I thought it was founded by Puritans. Also settled by political refugees, prisoners, those fleeing religous persecution etc…All in all the majority were protestants fleeing religious from France and England. I don’t remember hearing anything about Buddists, Muslims or any of the other religions practiced in this country today. Didn’t all of these come when then influx of these immigrants begin to increase? That the orginal settlers knew what it felt like to be persecuted for their religious beliefs, and didn’t feel anyone else should have to go through the same ordeal. I’m willing to bet that they would have never fathomed what this country would become, morally speaking. Feel free to correct any of my statements as I’m sure you will. I look forward to your replies.

Sorry Avoids, Gearhead works as the gravy-mopper in a jerk off booth, and I don’t dare go to that part of town since I cut my hair. I look almost respectable!

One more time, Peckerhead…five foot, three inches. That’s how tall I am. THREE inches. Not five foot four, or five foot two. You want to see three inches, just for the sake of comparison? Take your pants down and rub that sorry excuse for a member. If you can manage a full erection, imagine another inch tacked on to the end of it. THAT is three inches.

First of all thank you for your post. I agree with it 100%.

Second, good Americans like you are the reason I enlisted in the army. You are a true American and I have the utmost respect for you. I wish you the best in all you do.

Just out of right field but wouldn’t the world be a better place if we could all just get along? Geeze, we’ve all been fighting over some stupid shit lately. But I guess that’s human nature.

Anyway, America is the best country in the world (in my opinion), but I also think travelling abroad is an experiance that everyone should have. It gives you a better perspective on the world. I hold no grudges against any country that is friendly to the U.S. Even those who we’ve had major wars with years ago. I realize that 90% of Americans are so Xenophobic that we are afraid of anything different than what we know. This is something that we need to remedy. America’s strength is it’s diversity. We must not fight the many cultures that exist in our nation. We must embrace them and use each of their strengths for the benefit of all.

On a small side note, personally I am tired of the general pussification of the american male that has been occuring since about the end of the Vietnam war. Being politacally correct has seriously degraded the strenght of the U.S. military. The best army the U.S. has had in this century was during the second world war. When the bulk of the military was composed of draftees who didn’t give a fuck about thier military careers. They spoke thier minds about the things that were going on aroud them. Now, career soldiers have to be afraid of what they say because of what might happen to them and how it could effect thier military career. Everyone in this country needs to stop worrying about offending other people, and people have to quit being offended so easily. For the good of the nation.

That’s my humble opinion anyway. Please excuse any errors in my post, it’s late and i dont feel like fixing them.

-Peace

Heh heh. “Gearloose”. Pretty good! (Just wish I’d come up with it…)

“That the orginal settlers knew what it felt like to be persecuted for their religious beliefs, and didn’t feel anyone else should have to go through the same ordeal.” James the Puritans came here to escape persecution and then practiced it themselves, that is the ironic thing. After arriving, they kicked people out of settlements that did not agree with their way of life.

Gearhead’s just upset, cause at the factory they installed a short shifter.

I guess I should have made myself more clear. When I made my responce I was repling to the comments in dman’s article. Specifically the part about them incorporating too much religion into the constitution. If I not mistaken the majority of the men who wrote the constitution were practicing Christians, wether it had been Protestant or Catholic. Now, I do see what you’re saying it just came out of my mouth wrong. You’re right in a way though. It was sort of like religious persecution except you we’re jail or beheaded. Now, you might not have been the “most popular” person in town, but, from what I gathered, the society was more morality based rather than religiously based. It gets rather complicated at this point because most of this country’s morals came from religion. What I guess I’m getting at here is that most really didn’t care what religion you were as long as you were leading a “moral” life.
