in-n-out is good stuff … i eat there 2 or 2 times per week on average
whataburger is, if i recall properly, just digusting, but it served a very critical role during a very important week of my life … whataburger was the breakfast of champions for senior year high school spring break trip to padre island, texas
Ahh, Padre Island. Lots of beer, bikinis, dope, and Whataburger (with some 7-11 chili dogs thrown in for good measure). Good times.
I do, however, beg to differ on your greasy memories: WB is no more greasy than I-n-O.
I fuckin loved it. When I went to visit my old college girlfriend in LA back when we were still going out, I made her go 4 times in one week. I think they should expand. They’re only in california, right?
I think that if somebody were to open one in a town like Buffalo, NY, they’d end up like that guy in the cartoons that goes swimming in his gigantic vault of money.

No, they’re in Arizona and Nevada as well.
But they still need to expand.

I can’t believe I just read a DuckTales reference in T-Nation.
if you really like in and out, you’ll know about the secret menu items. mmmmmm six by six, animal style with animal fries…it’s gotta be like 5k calories.

Five Guys is the shit. Too bad you left coasters don’t have one. They started out here in NoVA and are expanding up the Eastern Seaboard.
Really? I had some Five Guys burgers when I was in DC, and they sucked.

Yeah, this place is truly the antithesis of fast food chains: superfresh ingredients cooked-to-order, very basic menu, and they actually take care of their employees. That last part must make it difficult to expand quickly.
My typical order is 2 double burgers (can’t eat cheese unless I can chase it with a fiber supplement immediately) with grilled onions and mustard instead of spread.
I go to Cali at least once a year and I always land at LAX with the divine purpose of going STRAIGHT to in-n-out. a neo shake with a double double animal style please!

the reason in and out does not expand quickly is due to it not being a franchise. it’s all family owned.all the employees have to go to “burger college” as part of the training. my girlfriends boss used to be a higher up in the company.

Maybe my Five Guys employee was having a bad day…
I have had Five Guys bacon cheeseburgers that destroy every other place I can recall. BK Checkers Wendy’s Hardees Sonic etc none have come close.
I’ve also had a couple at different locations that were mediocre compared to other Five Guys burgers, but still better than the competition.
Two bacon cheeseburgers, cajun fries, and a pile of peanuts is more than enough to satisfy anyone.

Life is like a hurricane
Here in Duck - burg
Race cars, lasers, aeroplanes
It’s a duck - blur!
Might solve a mystery,
Or rewrite history!
Ducktales! (a - whooh ooh)
Every day they’re out there making
Ducktales! (a - whooh ooh)
Tales of daring do bad and good
Ducktales!
D - D - D - Danger!
(Watch behind you)
There’s a stranger,
(out to find you!)
What to do?
Just grab on to some…
Ducktales! (a - whooh ooh)
Every day they’re out there making
Ducktales! (a - whooh ooh)
Tales of daring do bad and good
Ducktales!
Not pony tales or cotton tales, no
Ducktales!
(a - whooh ooh)
