Is there a big difference in how you feel between eod and e3.5?
How interesting.
Conclusions
Among older men with symptomatic hypogonadism, treatment with testosterone gel for 1 year compared with placebo was associated with a significantly greater increase in coronary artery noncalcified plaque volume, as measured by CCTA. Larger studies are needed to understand the clinical implications of this finding
Studies like this are big question marks.
It proves nothing directly related to gel. Indirectly perhaps.
Men on trt generally have greater appetites. Maybe these men consumed more cholesterol during the trial which increased plague ?
Just too many variables to pin the effects on T iteself.
Forgive me if the details are in the thread, but have you actually started TRT yet?
Or are you truly sacred to death of trt as you state in your thread title and finding everything there is to support your fear?
I start March 18th. Yes I’m still scared to death of it but I’m convinced that it’s the only way I’m gonna live a happy life. Even with all of the scary variables that people are listing in studies. The food idea has merit I think. A lot of times the studies don’t really go to in depth on the diet side of things for these trial patients. It’s just annoying to see so many studies say “cardioprotective” or “lower incidence of coronary artery disease” then somehow plaque is the problem and that still causes heart attack which means that it’s not protective against heart attack. It’s just fucking weird.
But honestly I look at guys like Jay Campbell and how they talk about what to do while on TRT. Working out, cardiovascular exercise, eating extremely healthy and right, and these guys of been on it for 18 years and they’re just fine.
Stop reading studies. Your body naturally lives off T. As long as you don’t over dose your fine. Even then your fine. Most of the studies are flawed anyways. Some of these studies are having shitty protocols and dosages. Others are not based on healthy individuals.
If you are genetically prone to cardio and other health issues - then T can make those issues worse if your doc isn’t watching closely.
Example. They said T worsens prostrate or causes prostate cancer. Now they are giving prostate cancer patients high doses of T and trt to keep that person healthy.
Now there are docs who give clients trt with heart issues because they realize the Low t was causing there issues.
The list goes on. Choose your sources carefully and don’t even waste your time reading and searching for negatives on trt.
I could convince myself that I have serious issues and my mind will make it real … physically real.
Beyond that there’s not much else one can do to help. You either can grasp what is being said here or not.
Your right. Sorry guys. Makes no sense for me to post that nonsense. My low t is grabbing my small balls and making me worry. LOL
Not saying don’t post. Please post away otherwise can’t help: just take what’s being said seriously. Your fears are being amplified and you have to start using data that is real. Try world link medical. The site is where docs go and reference. My doc told me to not read stuff online and only to find answers at the site above. There’s just too much billshit on the internet.
Last question. Is going on testosterone going to cause me problems given that at the moment I have triglyceride levels of 328? ?? Should i order a test for blood clots? No symptoms. Just covering basics.
TRT will increase metabolic rates and should help to burn off those high triglyceride levels. Blood clotting is rare.
Those on TRT often improve lipid profiles. Especially if you are overweight, with visceral fat, and you start a reasonable exercise and diet program.
There is zero evidence that TRT causes blood clots.
Now just to be clear I’m not trying to work these issues out to somehow get off or not go on TRT. I’m going onto TRT no matter what. I would rather live happy for a year and die than live the next 50 years the way I feel now. I just want to get as many precautionary measures done before or after I go on to ensure a smooth ride.
I was thinking more that TRT dialates the blood vessals which could release an existing blood clot pre-TRT
This post is a big surprise coming from someone scared to death of TRT that you’re willing to trust grey market Test with your life.
Seems awfully risky.
Don’t do it.
That’s against forum rules.
